Remarks

The college management is good and also now they are taking new decisions on the welfare of students' life.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is good as all the teachers are very hardworking and they are always in helping students with their targets and they are eager to make us capable of getting into industries. Every 2nd week there is a visit organized for us. They also tell us to join or opt for joining various essential Computer languages apart from courses.

Placement Experience

4.5

Companies like Trantor, Advanced Solutions, 75ways, Chegg, LIDO, Tech Mahindra, AppTunix, ToXLS, Zapbuild, AppKnit, Decathlon, Wipro,IT by Design, Maven wave, Pyramid IT, Code brew, Naggaro, Value Creations, etc visited the campus for placements, 75-80% students get placed every year. They provide us with aptitude and interview classes for preparation.

College Events

4.5

Every year there are many festivals organized by many departments like on every occasion there will be festivals and many technical, cultural and Art-based competitions get held by many departments. The fests are for the university students as well as the students from other colleges and universities can also come to take part.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The program fee is expensive as many of the students can not afford to give the whole amount at once but the authorities also allow those students to pay the fee in installments. We can pay online as well as cash. The first time when anyone is getting admission, there will be an admission fee and also the security fee which is refundable.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for any scholarship because i get to know about the scholarship when it was crossed the date for applying. But there is a scholarship test.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ratio is almost the same. The campus life is very good and the environment is very good. the students are very friendly and helpful. There is many sports competitions like football, cricket, badminton, etc. Many technical and cultural festivals get held by many departments of universities. Almost every department take part in festivals and show their talents.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facilities are not very good, the cleaning of the rooms are not proper and the hostel food quality is also not that good, they improve the quality of food if anyone complains to the authorities for few days and after that, the same quality is served. There are many restrictions for girls like they can only go home twice a month, they can not come out of the hostel after 6p.m..

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful and good in nature. They always help us with the courses or any issue related to the course.

Admission

I opted for b.tech CSE because I want to make my career in an IT-based company. I heard a lot about this institution from advertisements and also my cousin's sister was already studying there so she told me about the fine teaching and placements of the university.

Faculty

3.5

There would be around 8 lecturers in my course and their average age would be around 30-40. Almost every lecturer is of PHD qualification and some of them are currently completing their phds. Teachers always tell us about the doubts and even tell us if we have any problem regarding the subject and if we cant ask for doubts while in the lecture so we can also come to their cabin and clear our doubts. Some of the lecturers have some special certifications like in networking.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
