The infrastructure of the university very nice including the staff is very humble.
Canteen provide clean food with full awareness of not providing bad or old quality food
Library is big in size . 2 rooms are given to library which is a good thing

Dislikes

On places focus on tidenes is not there which seems embracing

Course Curriculum Overview

I am studying in b.tech(cs+ai) which is a very demanding cousre in coming future,as ai is raking over in every field so we should learn new things. Future placement and jobs chances are high in this course

Practice of Internships in dav university are given. Groups are made to make you prepare for intership. In these groups activities are provided to you each activity make a mark and repotation to you in university

Placement Experience

Placement percentage in dav university every year is about 80%. Rest 20% get jobs off campus or open thier own startups. My plan after completing this course is to find a best job suited on my profile.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you are availing to study in a college or university like DAV university,then you should have semesterly budget of minimum 70500 rupees for fees in b.tech(cs+ai) and the increases and decreases according to the course you are pursuing in. If you belong to sc or come from family having military or politics background you can aplly for scholarship which will provided by government to you in your bank account

Campus Life

The campus life is very good in dav, with friends it is more exciting and fun. Clubs in dav are very less assume that there are no clubs at all. Infrastructure of the uni is also good but one thing is there how how your degree will get complete you will be shocked

Admission

DAV university is a certificated university in Jalandhar. I Prefer this university cause it is near to my hometown. To take admission in this University you should have clear +2 or have given jee mains paper.

Faculty

The faculties of the university is very humble and freindly always there to help and make your doubts clear. The exam occurs 2 times in a semester first is of 25 marks and second one is of 50 marks. Total 100 marks are there 75 marks are of exams 5 marks for attendance,20 marks for assignment,5 marks quiz and 5 marks for activity

Interview Experience

No group discussion, interview or written test is asked in dav during admission,only the hings are asked are your +2 marks and any other test given like jee or neet. And if you are a sc you are offered scholarship for full course but firstly you have to. Deposit 8000

Night Life

Campus life is good in dav. Gym,sports room are there for atheletes and peoples who are health conscious. Hostel life is also good they provide high quality meal to each amd every student. Hangouts which are common in college and university will also be seen in dav

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Gym is provided but only for name, no fame , always full

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

First Year Reality Check

I had also applied to lovely professional university but i finally choose DAV university mainly because of fees and affordability. LPU offers better infrastructure and branding, but the the total cost was much higher compared to DAV. DAV is clearly more affordable than LPU. LPU is better in terms of campus size, hostels, labs and overall facilities. DAV has decent infrastructure but it is more basic and less modern than LPU. LPU has more exposure and resouces, while DAV focus more on regular academics. Faculty quality may vary from teacher to teacher. LPU has stronger placements than DAV. The addmission process at DAV was simple. There was no GD, PI just form submission, eligibility verification based on 12th grade marks. The DAV University Experince: An Honest Perspective

i choose this university because it was close to my house , affordable tuition fees , good placements. I haven't applied to any other colleges for admission i just browsed the reviews of the university.
