Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is relevent and covers the core subjects properly, especially for building fundamentals in the first year. However, it feels more theory oriented and could include more practical exposure and industry aligned content. overall, it is decent and structured but still has scope for improvement.
Internships Opportunities
The college does provide some internship opportunitiess through the placements and training cell, but they are limited. Most internships are from smaller companies or traning partners rather than big MNCs. Roles generally include trainee, intern or project assistant. Stipend are not guaranted and in many cases internships are unpaid or small stipend.
Placement Experience
Placements are available on campus but they are average and not guaranteed for everyone. Some companies do visit, mainly for entry level roles, specially for CSE, MBA branches. However, most students cannot rely only on campus placements and need to work on their own skills. In term of employability the college provides basic academic knowledge, but practical skills depend mostly on self learning, projects.

Campus Life
My overall campus life experience has been decent. The campus environment is calm, and student are generally friendly which makes it easy to socialize. The cultural and technical clubs and events are organized time to time like induction program, fresher's party, teej mela, Diwali mela, Youth flair, Spectrum, Lohri celebration, DAV UTSAV, Hostel night, Farewell party and many day celebrations like republic day, environment day, Foundation day, Women's day, etc. Vast number of books are available in the library known as Knowledge Resource centre. around 30,000 books are available in print format and 100 of national international journals, magazines, newspaper are available. Around 40 set of computers are also available. There are also many clubs of students likeDance club, Drama club, Fashion club, Artistia club, Music club, Echoes club and more. Sports activities are also available like volleyball, Cricket, Badminton, Football, and more.
Admission
I had also applied to lovely professional university but i finally choose DAV university mainly because of fees and affordability. LPU offers better infrastructure and branding, but the the total cost was much higher compared to DAV. DAV is clearly more affordable than LPU. LPU is better in terms of campus size, hostels, labs and overall facilities. DAV has decent infrastructure but it is more basic and less modern than LPU. LPU has more exposure and resouces, while DAV focus more on regular academics. Faculty quality may vary from teacher to teacher. LPU has stronger placements than DAV. The addmission process at DAV was simple. There was no GD, PI just form submission, eligibility verification based on 12th grade marks. They also takes addmission by their own exam for scholarships.
Faculty
Most teachers explain basic well, especially in the first year subjects like maths, physics and programming. Some professors are very supportive and respond to doubts in the class or after class. A few teachers feel like they are just finish the syllabus. Course B.Tech (CS&AI) is divided into 8 semesters over 4 years. First year they mostly focuses on basic like maths, physics, chemistry, cambridge english, basic programming, enginnering drawing. from second onwards they shifts into core subjects like data structures, algorithm, AI fundamentals, etc. They are lab components withh practical sessions. Each semester has mid and end semester exam and also having extra activities like, quiz, assessments, presentation, practicals. Marking schemes is like that mid sem is usually of 25 marks, 5 marks of attendence, 10 marks of quiz, 5 marks of assissnments, presentation, end sem is of 50 marks. Some of the subjects also have practical marks of 30 to 35 depending upon the subjects.
Night Life
Night life on campus is quite limited. There is basic gym available, the cafeteria is decent Public are like lawns and common spaces are open till evening. Hostel timing are strict and student must have to follow rules at night. The timing are different for girls and boys aroung 9pm is for girls and 10pm for boys. Inside the campus hangout is mostly ground or cafeteria. Outside the campus mostly students go for food or movies or even Gurudwara and temples.
