Remarks

One of the best engineering colleges in Kerala that provide admission for candidates securing high scores in the entrance examination. As a drawback, our college doesn't have its own hostel facility. It is purely because of the lack of land availability.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I completed my B-tech graduation from APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala technological university(KTU), its curriculum and course plan are quite better and it overcomes the drawbacks of the previous university. It introduced the year back system. And there is no delay in the examination and result publication. But as a newly formed university, there is some defects. I hope it will rectify in the coming years.

Placement Experience

4

Our college is well fame in name of placements. But in the previous years, more placements opportunities are got for the computer science stream. As our college concerned the Mechanical engineering department has 3 subdivisions Mechanical, production and automobile. So that the overall placement offers for mechanical students will reduce.

College Events

5

As usual Onam, Christmas, and Pooja festivals were celebrated with full fledge. Along with that college cultural events, arts, and fresheners programs were also celebrated. Our college official fest Cult A Way is well famed and its overall festive mood and students interactions all are quite impressive.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible Merit seat -35000 Management seat-65000 NRI Seat -100000 This is the fees structure of our college. Compared with private self-financing colleges the fees is quite feasible. And education loans systems are also offered.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides fees reduction for students who secured a high score in entrance examinations(fee waiver scheme). Also provide fee relaxation for reserved candidates(SC, ST, and OEC). Along with that education loan schemes are accessible.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college has a well-equipped Central library with all infrastructure including internet accessibility. And have separate clubs for each division. NSS has in our college. Compromising the space requirement there is full-fledged badminton and basketball court is available.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Our college doesn't have its own hostel facility. Some contract-based systems provide hostel facilities. Along with that food, mess is also provided. As I am a day scholar I'm not much aware of the details.

Alumni/Alumna

As our alumni association is strong. A strong connection can access from all spheres as I heard there are so my alumni in goverment sectors, middle east and in European countries. And they always contributed to the development of the college.

Admission

In our college, there is a 10% reservation for the employees of KSRTC. As my father is an employee of KSRTC, I am eligible for the reservation. I have also cleared the entrance examination, based on that entrance score the Commissioner of entrance examinations Kerala(CEE) published a new merit list for the KSRTC reserved candidates. So by that, I got admission and I choose the mechanical engineering stream.

Faculty

4.5

Well qualified faculties. And there is good coordination between the faculties. And the college infrastructure is well modernized. When the Mechanical engineering department is considered, most of the faculties got Ph.D. in their own subjects. And they were much supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
