Remarks

The infrastructure could have been better. For the computer labs government should send more money. Overall I am happy with the infrastructure. This is a very good college as well as University. Sometimes there are political issues.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The science and the art faculty follow the CBCS Pattern. And for the engineeirng students, They have their own syllabus. The labs are very good. But the computer labs are not that good. University follow a semester pattern of exam.

Placement Experience

4

For the engineering students, there is a high placement. But for bachelor and masters courses you have to give competitive exams. Samsung, Bajaj, Tata, Infosys, and other well-known companies come. And Government stipends are given.

College Events

4

Fests and freshers and all other government holidays are celebrated. Art clubs, mountain clubs, painting clubs, there are many opportunities to grow the little twig of talent inside you. Big playground and many more things.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For bachelor, Masters and engineering the fee is as per government concerned and many. For science and arts, the entrance fee is Rs 1850 and the monthly hostel charge is around Rs 2000. The fee for every semester is different it is around Rs 50.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships like free studentship scholarships and alumni scholarships. And students may apply for a government scholarship. The amount given is good. The scholarship amount is around 15 to 20 thousand.

Campus Life

4

Yes, there is scope to nourish the extracurricular you have. There are many clubs like drama club l, painting club, mountain club, singing club, dancing club, etc. There is a big playground where you can play any type of sport.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is a hostel available for girls and boys separately. Hostels are good but the food served is not that good. And monthly charge is around Rs 2000. The environment is not so good. Some juniors have to stay at least half a year to well settle.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a huge alumni network of Jadavpur University. There are alumni building names as the Triguna Sen building. Alumni and seniors help a lot in different aspects of problems. Seniors are very helpful and on the campus, there is no ragging by the seniors.

Admission

I am a B.sc aspirant of mathematics and I applied online. Then by merit list made upon my marks inboard, I was chosen. But for the engineering students are selected by the JEE and WBJEE exams. And also for the arts students, have to give an entrance exam.

Faculty

4

Professors are really good. They teach carefully and attentively to the students. Staffs are very good there are a projector and big halls dor seminars and etc. They do project works and others to motivate the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum in this college is uoto date, very relevant and with at par with the real world scenario, we learn about disorders, different schools of psychology and a lot more. There is a perfect balance of practical and theory, which is needed in psychology. In terms of improvement, there is always room for it, as of now there arent any suggestions from my side. The frequency of exams are fine, they give us time to prepare however I feel like as, according to the NEP, the semesters should be 6 months long but here they are cutting it short.
