College review

It is great for academic, and non academic purposes. Students get matured as they are all by themselves, and do there own works, deal with their hardships, other than just studying. They understand how to save money, what to shop and what not to, and how to make friends wisely.

Computer science is the most in-demand subject and i always had interest in the course. There were core computer subjects along with labs which gave the students a clear conception about the subject. And days are neither hectic or chilled. As you know, you can never be chilled if you want a successful future.

Placements and internship opportunities are very nice. More than 200 companies come for placements at the end of third year and at the beginning of fourth year. And internship companies come to recruit during 6th semester.

There are many events, in technical events there are interesting coding compition in forms of games and there are rewards too. In cultural compititions, people dance, perform fashion shows, sing, best box and etc. Fest is one of the most breath taking event in KIIT University. Renowned singers and DJ's come and perform. Even people outside our university buys tickets for the fest. And KIIT MUN is one of the most well known event of our college.

The fee structure is actually a bit expensive and difficult for low class or lower middle class family to afford, until they take huge amount of loan. It is around 1. 8 lakhs per semester, excluding the hostel and mess fees.

I've no friends to in common who are using loans. But the branch toppers of each semesters are given scholarship, for SC ST and PC kids, there is a huge amount of scholarship for all the 8 semesters.

There are many sports complex in the college. There's one sports campus for almost each branch (computer, mechanical, civil,etc). Gender ratio is more or less 35:65, 35 being number of girls. It may also be 40:60. They generally belong to upper middle class or middle class family, fee tske education loans, and few don't require loans. Every occasion like puja, and holi is celebrated in the university and ragging is strictly prohibited.

Hostel infrastructure is very good, the college provide a huge campus with more than 12 boys hostel and more than 6, girls hostel, only for b. tech. MBA camp havlve different hostels. There are more than enough seats to accommodate all the students registered for the university, and the mess food is also good. There are 2 beded and 3 beded ac and non sc rooms in the hostel.

Seniors are very much helpful, they provide us with question papers, what courses or internship we should choose and or how to prepare ourselves for interviews. They tell us about which seminar to attend and how to dress up properly, etc. They give suggestions about projects and teachers too.

I got chance in KIIT by entrace exam of KIIT which was conducted online,and then got chance in the college by rank or merit list after a few days. Results were posted in KIIT online site. Computer science is the most in-demand subject and i always had interest in the course.

Faculties are very nice and supportive. They have knowledge, and they study too along with teaching. Most facilities studied from IIT or are PhDs. They prepare the 1 hour lectures for 3 hours before delivering it.
