Remarks

There are many positive about my college like faculty, course curriculum, labs, activities, academic, fees structure, annual college fest and festival celebrations. Job placement was fine, not so good and not bad as well, But the drawbacks is sports facilities in our college, not much there for sports lovers.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum was very balanced, there were weekly 2 lectures of lab per subject, and the lab facilities were good as there was lab assistant available all the time for any help and for any information, there was one big drawback in course curriculum that there was no sports lecture to freshen us up so that was bit of a drawback. If I talk about exam structure then exams used to happen after every 6 months and for the preparation of exam our college used to conduct Monthly test in the end of every month which helps us to prepare better.

Placement Experience

3

Job opportunities and job placement was mediocre as the companies coming for computer science students used to recruit alot of students for them and not much companies used to come for mechanical but still it was better then most of the colleges.

College Events

3.5

Lots of festivals and events were celebrated like College fest once a year, technical Fest, Engineering day Fest, lohri celebration, Independence day celebration, Republic day celebration, Fresher's party and farewell celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of college is feasible, as most of the colleges in that area have same fees, the best part is that the fees is less for underprivileged students so they don't need to give much fees. The fee structure is that we have to pay fees before the semester exam and a person can take extension if needed by writing an application.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility offered by college was very clear and helpful, they have tie up with some banks so the paperwork for loan is easy and convenient. They offer scholarship for bright students with bright future which is good and those students deserve that scholarship.

Campus Life

4

The lab facilities were good as there was lab assistant available all the time for any help and for any information, the labs have all the facilities needed there was one big drawback that there was not much sports to freshen us up and for someone to carry the talent on the college level as well so that was bit of a drawback. If I talk about activities then there were many activities like college fest and celebrations.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students were very helpful, they used to guide us about college and our subjects. Seniors even helped us with our college projects. I had a friendly bond with our seniors. So overall experience with seniors and alumni was really good.

Admission

First I went to admission cell of the college, there I got the information about the criteria and eligibility for the admission in the college after that I filled the form and passed it to them and when I got the confirmation from them on the same day that I got the admission in the College.

Faculty

4

Faculty of my college was quite young, which helps us to get along better with our faculty and the communication between students and faculty was very smooth. Teaching style of faculty was very fresh and easy to understand so overall the faculty of my college was very helpful and quite good.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

Placement Experience:

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
