Remarks

College is overall a good experience and a good place to be for 4 years. The students will be able to learn a lot both academic and non academic from the college. It has been a wonderful experience for me

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is more subject and book oriented than practical. University seems to give more importance in educating the students with more theoretical knowledge. The labs are advanced and in mint condition but the exposure time we get for the lab is very low. On an average we get 6 hours of lab out of the total 30 hours of the week.

Placement Experience

3

Job opportunities and placements are high. For last year 60% of the students were placed in various companies. But most of them were placed in IT fields rather than core companies. No internship is provided by the college. We have to find our own internship outside. I would tell that is a good exposure for us. The major core companies is MRF. A lot of IT companies including Infosys,CTS,TCS,Saint gobain, etc are recruiting students.

College Events

4.5

We have a college fest which is celebrated annually. A program contains various technical cultural and non academic events. Students from various college participate in the festival and it is for 4 days. vivid also conduct sports meet at Smith and various departmental games and union events throughout the academic year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college is under the control of government. Bhakti structures and it lies within the range of normal family. The fees is normally about 6800 per semester. YouTube's both the the college fees and the exam registration fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

For students who are facing financial problems various scholarships are provided from the college which they can use for their academic purpose. It usually ranges from 10000 to 30000 per year. I am having a scholarship that offers me a discount in my fees and also gives me 6000 rupees per year. By having this scholarship my expense for the semester is reduced to 3000 rupees. education should not be on the basis of financial status rather than on the interest of the students to study. The scholarship provides a path for the poor to learn.

Campus Life

3

The college provides various opportunities and events to showcase our extra curricular activities. Various events held throughout the academic year which includes sports arts and other extra curricular events. competition in state level is also provided in the college and students can go and participate in which ever item they are feeling confident.

Hostel Facilities

3

The college provides both men and women. Infrastructure of both the hostels are good. the hostel rooms are neat and clean and is sufficient to accommodate two to three people. A room is allotted for two people. Overall the hostel is above the normal college hostels provided we have drinking water good supply of air and sunlight and clean toilets.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumnis are very much helpful and would always provide us with support both financial and non financial in every cases. they provide funding for students who are interested in going for various state level or national level contest. Always remained active and would frequently visit the college hosting alumni meet ups

Admission

The allotment is based in the engineering entrance exams. It's for all the students of kerala who completed +2 science. The rank list will be published and the students colleges will be allotted to students based on their rank and order of their college option. The allotment process takes place in 3 phases. I have chosen mechanical engineer because of my curiosity towards mechanical components and the mechanism behind them.

Faculty

3.5

The faculties are experienced and helpful. Both the professors and the lab assistants. They will always help us in any case whether academic or not. Most of the processes in the college have a doctorate degree and are very much experienced in their field. They are very helpful especially in the case of participation in events.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
