Remarks

Positive: low fees, no ragging, scholarships and grants, oppurtunities to attend other college events both educational and entertainment. Negative: poor faculty, poor infrastructural facilities, low job oppurtunities

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The university curriculum is drastically out dated for this particular course added with the zero experience faculty of the college outputs low pass percentage for the college. The exams and results are always late

Placement Experience

1

They provide no placement oppurtunities, no companies come in to hire in the college and most students dont even know what an internship is. All they do is inform the final year students about the interviews happening in near by areas and then the students are on their own in the jobhunt

College Events

4.5

The events celebrated in the college are only the few basic ones like arts meet, sports meet etc. But they do make sure that the students get to visit different events organized by other colleges, they also take up the registration, transportation charges etc. This is a good point about the college

Fee Structure And Facilities

The semester fees are low around 16k. Obviously if they keep a high fee expectation with such low standards no students would be willing to join the college. Even the other courses like B. Com. have lower fees around 10k

Fees and Financial Aid

As the college is government funded there are many scholarship oppurtunities for the students. The education for less fortunate classes is totaly free and there are educational grants of amounts upto 20k per year apart from the fee waivers for most students

Campus Life

0.5

There is no playground hence the sports teams are really weak due to lack of resources. The teams do exist but only to participate in the university sports meet for namesake and always end up getting knocked out. Speaking on gender ratios the number of girls is considerably low. There are political parties prevailing in the college. The college arranges oppurtunities for students to attend external workshops and seminars. Literally no discrimination on any basis. Peaceful life

Hostel Facilities

0.5

The college has no hostel. They only accept day scholars. There are no paying guest accommodation facilities in the vicinity. If a persons has to reside in the vicinity the only option is to rent a house or apartment

Alumni/Alumna

Some influential stories of seniors do prevail. The ones who made to high paying jobs even from this college with such low facilities. There zero ragging cases very cooperative environment. No emotinal torture issues

Admission

Was interested in the course, had low marks, had to join this college as they accepted low marks, admission process is easy just fill some forms, they prepare a list of applicants based on marks in descending order, then anybody in that list can join on first come first serve basis

Faculty

0.5

They take in fresh post graduates with zero experience as guest lecturers and the students suffer. They lack subject knowledge and sometimes end up teaching wrong things to the students and the students suffer the consequences in the semester exams as the answer sheets are evaluated by external examiners

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
