Remarks

The college is excellent although it has a very small building that does not satisfy the most of students but This is also going to be solved as the college will be shifted by April of Year 2016 in Rohini in a new and big building which have proper hostel

Entrance Preview

The admission was on merit basis i scored an aggregate of 93.25 in PCM to get admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is decided by the DU university hence It is the best in addition to all the theory work, students are educated about the practical work also. All the important subjects like CSA, DBMS, Data Structures, Operating System has been covered till now. The book we have to opt for the curriculum always maintain the quality of study. The books are always of the famous author.

Internships Opportunities

The college is renowned for Its management courses therefore, only a few companies arrive for internships of Computer Science Students till now, I have not seen a single company arriving for providing internship to CS students, Although the internship opportunities for Management Students are too good. They usually get internship with stipends from 3k-5k very easily.

Placement Experience

4

Since only one or two companies arrive for placement of Computer Science Students, We can say the placement of CS students is not good. Every year only 2 or three students out of 40 are placed through college placement. Package is also so so around 3 to 4 Lakh per annum. But the Management students are far better than CS department. Company Like KPMG, MCkinsey arrives for taking students. Package is also high. Package of 6 to 8 Lakhs is very common among Management students. Plus More that 80% of the management students are placed. This is The NO.1 college all over India for its management courses.

College Events

4.5

The college has 26 socities therefore every occassion is celebrated with a blast the annual fest is organised in Delhi Haat the budget is often low but students manage to organize a decent fest. The main event of this college is Convergence which is held once a year in which various alumini and successful people are called to boost students. The technical fest is also held by the technical society Kronos we are supposed to play quiz, make programs for winning exciting prizes. The festival celebration like Diwali and Janmashtmi Celebration is also held with proper grace and enthusiasm. Plus all the socities also organize their own fests every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being the Government College, The fee structure is feasible. This year it was around 9k for the whole year also there are not any extra charges throughout the year like maintenance etc. There is one time exam fee though every semester which is also lower than 1500 rs. Plus they do not collect any cash in the name of any event activity or something else. So Even a poor can afford to be in this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Physically Challenged Students are availed the facility of scholarships since the fees is too low the scholarship is sometimes full or half of the fee of course. Plus the KPMG also provides the students with the scholarships of 5k for a whole year. The scholarship is also provided for the students whose parents earning is less than 2 Lakh per annum.

Campus Life

3

The Campus is life is okay, There are a lot of socities that keep on organizing events from time to time to indulge students. The sports society held the Sports competition in football, badminton, atheletics and cricket. Although it doesnt have a big ground therefore students have to manage a little bit. Most of the students here are from the rich families. There is not any kind of nuisance like eve teasing etc. All the students are well behaved and are from a good family background. But the students are a little bit partial because of their socities. There is no discrimination on the basis of the cast, religion gender and race etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are no hostel facilities for the students outstation students have to live in the PG the students face a lot of problem because of this plus therefore there is no mess. Although a new building of this college is being made in Rohini it will be shift

Alumni/Alumna

There is no regular interactions with the alumini they come on special occasion like convergence fest etc but not any kind of attachment is established between the students and the alumini. The interactions with seniors is quite good though people get attached because of the societies mainly everyone organize events with the help of one other. There is not any kind of stuff like ragging and all everyone remains as friends.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is a little weak exams are held every Six months the procedure of giving internals is not as private colleges, Internals are not held and are given on the basis of class test and vivas only lab evaluation is done one time for the internals

Faculty

5

Incredible unlike the faculty of other colleges, as I have heard from friends about their college, The faculty here is quite caring all the lectures are taken regularly with no compromises, The standard and qualification of teachers is always good because

Indira Gandhi National Open University - [IGNOU], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Sep 5, 2025(Enrolled 2024)

Placement Experience:

Placements in IGNOU are quite limited compared to regular universities. Since IGNOU is an open and distance learning university, it does not have a strong campus placement system like DU or private colleges. There is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) that conducts job fairs and recruitment drives at some regional centers, but these are not very frequent and mostly depend on the location. Usually, students who are in their final year or have completed the course can apply, but there is no fixed semester rule since the system is flexible. The companies that visit are not very large in number and vary every year. Some private firms, NGOs, BPOs, insurance companies, and small IT firms have participated in the past. The roles are generally entry-level such as sales, customer support, data entry, insurance advisor, or junior IT support. There are very limited opportunities for core mathematics or research roles through placements. As far as packages are concerned, the average package is usually around ?2.5 LPA to ?4 LPA, but since IGNOU is an open university, it cannot be expected to have the same placement levels as regular colleges with full-time classes. Also, the percentage of students placed is very small because most IGNOU students are either working professionals, homemakers, or people preparing for competitive exams, so placements are not the main focus. Many students use the degree as a qualification while pursuing their own career path outside. I am currently in my 2nd year, so I do not have personal placement experience yet. The data I have mentioned here is based on internet sources and feedback from other IGNOU students. From what I have learned, placements exist but are very limited, and one should not rely only on them for career building.
