Remarks

0% attendance rule really helps us to focus on what we want to do. Many people just sit in their room and focus on their projects. And the lectures are recorded and uploaded so we don't need to worry about the missed lectures. But due to this group of friends are difficult to find.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure is quite balanced with equal importance to both theoretical and practical aspect. There is a mix of all subjects and you can take any course which isn't even of your branch through electives.Although exam components are quite heavy.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is quite good.Although in core sector it's not that much but still much more than other colleges. When it comes to computer science median salary is around 19 lakhs which is a lot. Some of the top companies include Google Microsoft, etc.No internships are offered in our college.

College Events

3.5

There are in total four fests. One is a technical fest by name of ATMOS.In this you can see a variety of events happening from robo wars to quadcopters and a hell lot of workshops. Then there is pearl which is the fest we all wait for.

Fee Structure And Facilities

One of the demerit of college is that it's quite expensive. It's around 2 lakhs in which 10000 is hostel fees, 10000 is mess fees, 10000 is for electricity and other advances and the rest is academic fees.Every year there is around 13% fees hike.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many kind of scholarships offered by our college such as merit scholarship which is given to top 1% students, merit cum need scholarship which is given to those whose parent's income is below certain limit and also have got good grades. The sbi branch on our campus also offers student loan which we can pay after we start earning.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio is okayish which is understandable because it's an engineering college. But when it comes to extra curricular activities our college is one of the most active one.You can find club for literally anything you can think of.And every week there is something happening. Also there is discrimination on any ground whatsoever and it isn't so much influenced by any kind of external politics.

Hostel Facilities

4

Some of our hostels are in good condition and some in average. There is both sharing and single.Average hostel fees is Rs 10000 for 6 months. In first year you are alloted a double sharing room. Then in second year room booking is held through online portal in which you are required to form a wing and then book your set of rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

We've got a vast alumni network. We can approach literally anybody from our college we can always expect a reply from them. They're really helpful and always willing to boost our confidence. There was one senior whom I went to just buy books and it was my first day in college. And he made me familiar with competitive coding which I love doing till now.

Admission

First you'll have to give the entrance exam know as BITSAT.Then your are supposed to fill your preference of branches in an online form. Then iterations are held in which branches are alloted and upgraded. You'll have pay fees after first iteration. There are approximately 5-6 iterations. After fourth iteration you'll have to report to college to complete the rest formalities.

Faculty

5

Faculty is highly qualified.Every has done his or her degree from a reputed institution. But same as everywhere, some are good at teaching whereas some are not so good. But even for that we are given feedback form at end of each semester and faculties are evaluated on the basis of that.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
