Remarks

The college is great in terms of infrastructure, faculty and the atmosphere they create. I would have loved if they had given more support to cultural events and extra curricular activities. Nevertheless, times are changing and there seems to be improvement

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is same as of other streams in the first year. Then afterwards focuses on the core subjects. Course is not very tiring, but some subjects are really tough. Labs are great and not very frequent.

Placement Experience

Our college is well known for placements. Many of the big IT companies like Infosys, TCS, Electical companies like Blue Star, Builders like Adani group have placed students in their firms. The college doesn't offer internship

College Events

The cultural event is called vipanchika, held every year. Filled with songs, dance competitions, memes etc., this is an extravagant event. The technical event, Igniz, is another big event in which students across the colleges in Kerala and ourside come to participate. The management fest is the Union Day in which the elected college union conducts a huge celebration

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is the same across kerala. It was around 4 lakhs when I studied. They don't ask for donations as such. The fee should be paid in installments, in 65,000 or so in every quarter of the year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any scholarship or loan myself, but there is a scholarship for best performing students of the school owned by the chairman of this college. At the time of enrollment, several bank representatives help students with loans

Campus Life

The Extra curricular activities are very less in this college as the management mainly wants students to just focus on studies. All students are treated equal , regardless of their race or gender. Sport activities like volleyball is given importance

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of students are pretty helpful. They conduct meetups every year and is a great platform to meet the seniors. The seniors help a great deal in terms of career development and also overall discipline

Admission

I got in to the college through entrance exam. I had scored above the cut off marks and I then was called for an interview in the college, where I was selected for Electrical and electronics engineering

Faculty

The faculty of the college is awesome. They spoon feed the students during the first year, but later on they make students capable of preparing for any exams by themselves, without needing extra help.

Life at CET

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

Remarks:

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.

The other colleges i applied was all govt colleges.i couldn't got the rank to get there because i got less rank in keam exams.so i choose the best college i could get on my marks. I got 25526 rank in keam examination such that i cracked in here and also i wanted to be here because my super seniors where here they also insisted me that scms school of engineering is a good college.our college is a managemental college accredited by govt either we should crack keam exam or we should jee exam or we be nri quota. These are the 3 methods that we can get to scms school of engineering. SSET- from the viewpoint of a student

I applied to government colleges and MITS ,RIST and FISAT too among with SSET. But I got confirmation letter from SSET in my first allotment itself. I choose SSET because it has a great infrastructure and wide possibility of opportunities. One of my relative was an alumni of this college and I got to know about the college from her perspective. The response I got from others whenever I asked about my college was really positive and hence I chose SSET. I never got rejection from other colleges I applied to, I simply chose to settle in the first college I got allotted after my KEAM Rank list got published. I chose SSET over other colleges because other colleges were really expensive and I never wanted to push my family to go through such a hard time just for my education. Even though I got admitted to a really great college with a high quality course the fees there in one sem was twice the amount I had to pay in SSET for a year The admission process of my college was quite simple.All we had to do was submit my certificates and sign a few papers. It Lasted only one and half hours. The eligibility to get here included passing the KEAM Exam and having 50% or more pass mark in plus two. The student must have studied Science subject with either Biology or Computer Science as the main Subject. My overall admission experience was really great.
