Huge campus with full of greenery and having a lot of scope to have a good recognisation globally.you can explore any field here. You need to manage time between your academics and your passion.or else you will get some year backs and backlogs and they will through you from the College

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is big old.but attendance system and examinations are taken seriously here.you need to have a minimum attendance of 85% in every subjects.teachers are very helpful and serious about students carrer.

Placement Experience

You can say around 99% of students are getting placed every year.but the package is too high. It can be improved and completely depends upon how placement committee works.in our 3 Rd year we used to got an internship.

College Events

We are having different fests for different category. starting from tech fest(innovision), cultural fest(nitrustav),sports fest(vriddhi) and different departments and over 60 others clubs use to conduct different events through out the year.all these things are in the control of student activity center.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. for general category and income of parents above 5 lakhs need to give full fee of around 1 lakh per semester.for the same category people but having parents income below 5 lakhs is having 50 thousands per semester.for category students and parents income below 1 lakh per year will having a complete fee Weaver and they have to pay only hostel and some necessary fees which costs around 30,000

Fee Weaver for category students and the students having below 1 lakh income of their parents. Number of scholarships are available for branch toppers like opjems,alumini scholarship,medhabruti etc.

Campus Life

You can play any type of sports.every sports is having a separate team with a captain.freshmen can join the team by qualifing the induction process.we are having a biggest sports fest named vriddhi for the different Colleges.

Hostel Facilities

I will rate 8 out of 10 with good food and we'll facilitated rooms. security guards are assigned for every hostel, we are having night and day canteens in hostel.a departmental store is also there. It allows the students to use play grounds indoor as well as outer.

Alumni/Alumna

We are having a lot of organization like NITRAA(National institute of technology Rourkela alumini association) and officially we are having a systematic operations to Handel alumini affairs.alumini are very active and used to help the students or any type of development work.

Admission

You need to give a all India entrance exam named JEE(joint entrance examination) then one all India rank will be allotted to you.then you need to apply for all India counselling (JOSSA) for all the IITS and NITS. according to the rank you will be allotted the College. Among 31 nits our College rank 2.

Faculty

I believe they are doing very good job.some of them are not up to the mark still over all I will rate 8 out of 10.all are having phd degree with them.research work is very good here. faculty and students are really good in the field of reaserch.

IIIT Bhubaneswar means technology!

Placement Experience:

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

So I choose these college over the others because of its relevant name and the hype of this college In India as It is Institute of national importance And also a government backed college and it is one of the most demanded college. So the colleges which I have applied to are DTU, NSUT, Nit Trichy, Nit Warangal, Nit Surat Kal And top 7 iits. No I was not rejected from the other college which I have applied to but the combination of branching and the college value Doesn't satisfied me for taking admission in that colleges. So the admission process for the Nit Rourkela Is that the eligibility criteria is 75% in 12th class And second criteria is to clear the entrance exam which is the JEE mains and also scoring a very good marks in it. Then by the centralised Josaa Counselling student will fill their choices ,lock and get allotments in the upcoming rounds of the josaa counselling. The ending rank to take admission in this college in the EC branch is about a 6000-7000 rank in the jee mains exam for the other state people. Everything about NIT ROURKELA ( campus life, placements, fees )

The best aspects of the college is the campus. It's the second largest campus in India. A lush green campus with a very good mess facilities. The buildings are great. Hostels are also good. Evrything about infrastructure was a plus point. Only negative point is the non availability of airport due to which some companies refuse to come a pick students.
