Remarks

Positives outweigh the negatives here. Even though recent news show us in bad light. The students and those who know jamia will forever cherish this paradise. The lawns and fresh cut grass smell will always follow you wherever you go. The squirrels, dogs and birds become your friends throughout your stay. Teaching is quite relaxed with the exception of 75% attendence requirement

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Ever improving course structure with dedicated pedagogy department. Softwares like CAD, SKETCHUP, 3DS MAX are taught extensively unlike other Colleges. You have the exception of a few unxeperienced faculties but it would be compensated by the many hardworking faculties

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are quite good in Engineering and Management Departments unlike in Architecture which generally doesn't call for the need of a internship. Faculties help you in suggesting forms to practice at too

College Events

4.5

Each department has their own small fests along with an annual university fest - Talimi Mela which brings the whole university together Other fests are Aalen, Miraas, springfest, other tech fests and a 10 others more Fenestration- Annual Architecture Fest

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible due to subsidies because of advantage of being a central university There are self financed courses too which are quite at the same fee rates as with other private Colleges B. Arch 11000 and 74000 for self financed

Fees and Financial Aid

Post metric, CSSS from Central government schemes You have the alumini scholarship anjamia teachers association scholarship for financially backward students. Fees are much lower btw. You'll find no issues getting a scholarship

Campus Life

4.5

Every department has well maintained labs and conference rooms. The architecture department has 3 computer labs, a gis, a we'll stocked library with dailies and various magazines related to the course. Sports facilities are wide with MAK stadium even hosting Ranji matches

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel are quite good but the problem here is with getting admitted to the hostels due to very limited seats which leads to more than half the students not getting into it. New hostels are being constructed but still insufficient for such a big student populus

Alumni/Alumna

AAJMI is wide spread around the globe with Jamia completing 100 years of it's existence. The network is connected well on social media platforms and various job opportunities are shared within them and even a we'll organized mail info sharing system. We have a very well informed and Proud alumini

Admission

Through merit list prepared on the basis of JEE PAPER 2 marks. Apply on Jamia website beforehand Lists of selected and waitlistwd candidates will be released just around the time of JosAa counselling and you need to appear in person and fill the course fee for your admission.

Faculty

4

Few PhD holding proffesors with majority holding Masters degree from jamia itself. Design subjects have external Contractual faculties which prove to be much benficial with 3 or more teachers for the subject

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the forst year the faculty will make you do completely dumb and irrelevant stuff which is mostly not related to the real life. You will surely feel like and think in a way that why you are doing all this, but slowly the curriculum will get difficult and would have real world applications. In the starting you should improve your drafting and most importantly you should procastinate your work and should learn the importance of time management.

I chose the course because of my passion for buildings, the faculty is very dedicated and teacehrs put in alot of hard work with the students. The gender ratio is impressively 1:1. The professors are from good colleges themselves and the teaching methodology is that of an experienced person in the feild. Exams take place annually, semester marking is done on the basis of internal assisment.

MBS College, Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch]
Reviewed on Aug 23, 2022(Enrolled 2019)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it is very practical, you don't have to be in class, you can go out, explore and learn. I love to draw and design. The faculty-student ratio is 1:40 Teachers are good and helpful .they all are architects and everyone has a totally different view of your design. There are 2 semesters, so 4 unit tests and 2 yearly exams, the theory exams are fine but the practical ones where you have to present your work in front of a juror are tough. it is not necessary if they'll like your design or not .so they can give you fewer marks.

Remarks:

Overall, there are lots of negative remarks on SPA DELHI. They do not even provide basic facilities for the fees they take. Even what little facilities that exists are very poorly maintained. The lifts does not work more often than not, the coolers for drinking water are outdated and filters unchanged, fire extinguishers outdated, poor parking facilities, no grounds for sports related activities, no air conditioners in the classroom for the unbearable Delhi heat, very poor provision of funds, non-existent placement cells, and the lists goes on.
