Remarks

It is one of the best colleges in the country. But the professors are not very good at teaching. They are more concerned about their research than about the students learning. But overall people are very helpful. You have a tennis court, badminton court, indoor volleyball court, a hill and two lakes for complete entertainment. And not to forget the fastest internet speed in the country.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Courses were of varying difficulty levels. For some, you had to put in the effort while others were so chill that you had to study for it only an hour before exams. It was a five day week so we had a lot of time to chill during weekends. The research work done by faculty is one of the best in the country. Certain departments like Computer Science, Physics are world-class.

Placement Experience

5

A lot of companies come for placements. More than 300. The average salary is usually around 20L. Facebook, Microsoft, Uber, Rubrik offer a lot more. Internship opportunities abound. Most people get an internship at the end of the 2nd as well as the 3rd yr. The average stipend during intern is around 30k.

College Events

5

There is Techfest, the technical fest of IITB, and Mood Indigo, the cultural fest. They are amongst the most prominent college fests in the nation, with a footfall of over 2 lakhs. Almost every freshman and more than 50% sophomore with the help of 20-25 thirties and fourth is organized these fests. For management fest, there is an E-summit where many founders of startups come to share their experiences. Then there is Abhyuday, the social fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is quite expensive. Fees are 1,37,250 which includes messing charges of 22000. Every charge is included in the above-mentioned figure and the college does not charge for anything else. There is the option of scholarships for people from a poor background and you can also get student loans easily.

Fees and Financial Aid

MCM scholarship which gives scholarship to students from a poorer background, then there is a Birla scholarship for the top students of the college, then is one alumni fund. An easy student loan is offered by almost every bank like SBI.

Campus Life

5

The gender ratio is heavily skewed in favor of boys. The usual ratio is 1:10 or 1:11. The atmosphere is all-inclusive and everyone is very tolerant. There is no discrimination against anyone on the basis of caste, religion, or anything. There is one LGBTQ club called Saathi for people with different sexual orientations.

Hostel Facilities

3

It is a residential campus where everyone resides in hostels. Every hostel has a mess though the food is not that great. The hostel and mess fee is 22000. But the hostels are decent. You enjoy your life in these hostels like nowhere before.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very powerful here and the alumni are very helpful. There are not many world-class firms that do not employ our alumni. They are ready to give advice. There is a Student Alumni Relation Cell which connects students to Alumni who then mentor the students in whichever field he/she wishes.

Admission

I had to give JEE mains first. The qualified students appeared for JEE advance and the students who qualified were to appear for the counseling for admission in one of the various IIT. Students had to submit their preference for branch and college and were finally selected on the basis of their JEE ranks

Faculty

4

Faculties are very qualified but some of them are not very interested in teaching. They come to the class read from slides and then go back. So mostly it is self-study. But some of them are very good teachers and are ready to help you. You can just drop them an email and set up a meeting to discuss your problems
