Remarks

Recently it has got its position(4th)back in NIT Rankings list by MHRD. and our college is 2nd in rankings all over IIT's NIT's IIIT's GFTI's in Architecture!!. Ragging also becomes nill in recent times and I have not found any negative remarks about our college up to now!

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The Course Curriculum is Structured very well&the course outcomes are also useful and it is being updated in recent times. as like everywhere EEE course&Labs will be hectic!anyway that depends on our interest. as I m interested in the subject I don't often feel hectic though it is!. coming to the exams, there will be one mid-semester and end semester exams. meanwhile, there will be some class assignments given for internal marks.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are good(90% in CSE, 85% in ECE, 75%in EEE. )Yeah our college provide internships but many students apply outside the college if they won't get in the college, many students write GATE, GRE to get a Central Government Job or to get admission for their higher studies. Companies like Seimens, Texas come every year but will take a few students. IT companies are more compared to the Core.

College Events

4.5

The technical event called TATHVA is celebrated every year in the monsoon semester, Coming to the Cultural Event(South India's biggest cultural event)called Ragam is celebrated every year in the winter semester, Festivals like Vinayaka Chavithi, Diwali, Ugadhi, Dussehra, Onam are celebrated grandly. every year, meanwhile, some fest's like Techweek, Cultweek are celebrated. many events will be conducted And participation(both from inside and outside the campus)will be huge in Ragam&Tathva as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible., it is designed according to the income. moreover as it is National Institute the fee will be decided by the Government itself. Total fee per annum(incl all categories): Income above 5 lakh per annum:1, 37, 130/- Income 1-5 lakh per annum: :53, 797/- Income below 1 lakh per annum:12, 130/-

Fees and Financial Aid

Education loan is accepted here in this college, and Scholarships are also given to the students who are eligible for, one of them I have heard is National portal Scholarship. many people apply for the scholarship for which they are eligible and the college helps to the where ever it is needed!.

Campus Life

3.5

Extracurricular activities are good enough those who want to chill in campus can chill whenever they feel hectic. Recently admissions for girls increased so the gender ratio is almost 1:1. 5(girl: boy). Regarding parties, we celebrate birthday parties of our friends as like everywhere here also the engineering life will chill enough until unless we follow the classes accordingly! There are many workshops conducted Eg: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics workshops are conducted. Yeah, here gender equality is maintained moreover sometimes girls will be higher prior than boys in some situations. There is no Sexual Interaction and if those are done they will be dismissed out of the college! Economic status is improving in recent times. As like everywhere there will be some politics in some situations!

Hostel Facilities

4

Recently new hostels are being built for boys. present the Infrastructure of hostels is good enough there is college wifi, lift facility, Table tennis courts, Badminton courts, Carrom boards. etc. the rooms are sharing two members in each room. there will guest rooms for guests. and the average rentals per month will be 5000-6000(incl mess fees).

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah of course college will conduct interactions with alumni's for the students who are interested in that specific areas, I learnt few things from them regarding opportunities in specific areas and in which areas should we concentrate more. and what to do regarding higher studies. like these. yes the alumni's are very useful for us as they share their own experience with us.

Admission

First I have cleared the Joint Entrance Examination with a good rank(ALL INDIA 8191). so with that rank, I would have get Computer Science in many Top Nit's but I am interested in studying Electrical&Electrical Engineering course. later I came to know that the EEE dept Faculty in NITC is up to the mark!. so I have decided to take admission here. and I would have got the same dept in NITW which is in one of my home states(Telangana)but as I want to experience the new culture and to improve my communication skills I took admission in NIT CALICUT(Kerala!).

Faculty

4

The faculties are well qualified and experienced, they mainly concentrate on outcomes of a course(what is to be learned from a course), they are strict enough and they respond very well if a student is interested in learning the subject in deep, of course, they teach everything related to a topic discussed in the course structure. They guide us in making our projects and they recommend us for higher studies(if a student is interested). They are Punctual, However, there will be some teachers that are not that good. But the maximum of the faculty in our dept is Excellent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
