Remarks

Techno International Batanagar is a relatively new institute and has a long way ahead. It boasts of excellent faculty and provides the students with all kinds of learning opportunities. The only setback is the focus on marks rather than knowledge. The students need to work more on projects than books.

Course Curriculum Overview

Techno International Batanagar is affiliated with MAKAUT (formerly known as WBUT) and follows the syllabus prescribed by it. The syllabus is well structured but is being obsolete. There is an urgent need for reform in the syllabus to make it more industry-based, rather than book-based. The college conducts 2 internal exams and an external exam per semester along with practical's, vivas, and quizzes.

Placement Experience

Techno International Batanagar is a part of the Techno India group of institutions. The placements are centralized, thus giving quite a lot of opportunities to the students. The College doesn't provide internships to the students but they are given the option to take up internships if they have the opportunity.

1)TIB Equinox: It is the annual cultural and tech fest of Techno International Batanagar. It showcases a plethora of performances like dances, music bands, instrumental, etc. 2) Smart Techno Hackathon: This is the software Hackathon hosted by TIB and it involves the participants designing solutions to real-world problems.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is regulated by MAKAUT and it's not very expensive. It's very cost-friendly when compared to other private institutes. The tuition fees are a little over 40000 per semester (almost 6 months). So, a BTech course under TIB would cost around 4 lakhs (for 4 years).

Fees and Financial Aid

The College doesn't offer any scholarships or loans to students, though, educational loans can easily be availed at banks. Every year, the college allows 1 seat to A TFW candidate which exempts him/her from having to pay the College tuition fees.

Campus Life

Techno International Batanagar provides the students with a wide variety of amenities including, but not limited to, practical labs, sports equipment, a playground, etc. The labs at TIB are all equipped with everything that a student might need to understand a certain topic. There are science labs, computer labs, electronics labs, workshops, etc available to the students.

Alumni/Alumna

The college doesn't have an official alumni network but the faculty is in constant touch with quite a number of students who have been a part of the college. The seniors are quite helpful here and are always up to guide their juniors. Incidents of juniors being bullied are non-existent.

Admission

Techno International Batanagar provides BTech courses along with diploma courses. The admission process is similar to most of the other undergraduate engineering colleges in West Bengal. The students need to sit for the WBJEE exam to be eligible for admission. After the WBJEE counseling, students are allotted colleges according to their ranks. On the submission of the 1st-semester fees and a "training and placement" fees, the students get enrolled into the College.

Faculty

Techno International Batanagar has excellent faculty, who are well versed in their subjects and can go a long way to help the students. They promote out-of-the-box thinking and facilitate understanding of the topics among the students.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

The infrastructure of the college is good.I would consider the college as very clean.
The campus life is pretty good but there are strict instructions to freshers to not roam in the campus.

Dislikes

I disliked the condition of the bathroom and the corridor on the first day.
My hostel room was very filthy.The workers charges ₹100 for cleaning it

Placement Experience:

From 4th year students become eligible for placements.Google, Microsoft,Gold Man Sacks, Apple were some of the companies that visited NIT Durgapur For placement regard.The highest package was 80lpa and the average package was 13 lpa.Total of 83% students got placed.The placement is quite good.

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Likes

One of the best things about my college is all the classrooms and labs are fully air conditioned. The classrooms, labs and even the toilets are cleaned regularly, which really helps to create a comfortable learning environment.
All the clubs of the college remain active all the time no matter whether it's technical clubs or fest related clubs like fun events domain, etc.
The most important thing is that the college is entirely ragging -free. College also maintains a healthy girls to boys ratio.

Dislikes

The classrooms are quite compact compared to the number of students in each class . At times it feels overcrowded and a bit uncomfortable during lectures.
Some of the faculty members are relatively inexperienced. It often feels like they don't have full command over the subject they're teaching, which can affect the overall understanding of important concepts.
Another issue I've noticed is the irregularity in certain subject classes. Not all subjects are taught consistently every semester , and there are high chances of some classes getting missed or not scheduled properly.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to sit for placements form 7 th semester that is from the beginning of final year. Usually the service based companies come here with cgpa criteria and offer jobs to students.

In case of my couse everything is coverd but it would have been much better of they focus on practicals more rather than theory. If they make us aware of all the new technologies that are used in the industry.

My experience about techno

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Experienced Faculty-students often appreciate a good blend of practical and theoretical knowledge.Faculty members in some department are often known for thier excelence knowledge and experience
Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Dislikes

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Eligibilty of the course is 60 percent in with maths in 12th and needed to sit and get a rank in wbjee .Admission process is too much sothing you have to just come in college with the required fees admission fees is approx 96,000 in first sem you can deposit it in 6 month in half half amout.And in next sem approx 85000 is needed per sem till 4 year.Admission process is easy they will cooperate with you.you can get the form in admission dpartment.Areas of improvement is mainly if fees isn't paid in 6 month then yo will not be allowed to sit in exams....Read More
