Superspeciality posting of residents is required in associated hospitals and intermediate internal exams will be helpful at the end of 1st and 2nd years. Recently 1st year residents are made involve in academics that will be helpful for them in treating patients.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course comprises of 3 year intensive work, study in the department of general medicine. It includes one year of ICU posting, emergency services during admission days, academic classes cum presentations and most importantly thesis submission. Exam occurs after completion of 3 years, comprises theory( includes 4 papers) and practical (cases/interview).

After passing MD/MS exam one can appear for DM/MCH exam or can appear for any interviews for the post of senior residents in Delhi NCT hospitals or Central Govt hospitals. Within a span of 15-30 days everyone starts new journey as SR in either govt or pvt hospitals. Stipend is around 95000(inc HRA) p.m. with increment of 2000 p.m. each year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are rs. 15600 per annum and one refundable security money of rs 10000. Along with it, residents have to pay for examination fees of rs 1000 and after passing rs 500 to receive provisional registration certificate. I think it's feasable for all

Fees and Financial Aid

No loan facility is there for post graduation students as per my knowledge. Residents used to get around 95000 p.m.(with delay of salary of 3 months) and with increment of rs 2000 each year, there is no point of scolarship.

Campus Life

4

There is a gymnasium where there are facilities for gym, table tennis, carrom etc are there. One can participate in various events in college fest freely. Residents used to play drama, participate in singing, dancing, debates.

Hostel Facilities

4

No I have not opted for hostel. There are 2 hostels ( one is HSB hostel one is RMO hostel). Latter one is newer, having semifurnished rooms, plenty of spaces for two people with attached bathroom. HSB hostel is older one, just okay for single person with common toilet.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful regarding academics, doubts, patient care. They used to help a lot before exams explaining patterns of theory papers, patterns of practical and interview exams, what are dos and don'ts.

Admission

After securing AIR-263 in NEET PG-2016.Then through all india counselling I opted General Medicine in various medical colleges, I got Lady Hardinge Medical College General Medicine. Then I completed procedures of admission in LHMC, submitting all original certificates, bond paper etc, then I got joining letter to work in my dept.

4

Faculties of LHMC medicines are very knowledgeable, very sincere, strict regarding academics, puncuality, patient care and above all very helpful in all matters. The unit head professors and some other professers have serious conception and knowledge regarding general medicine, that makes department very dynamic.
