Remarks

In spite of appreciating the efforts of our teachers. I just want to raise focus on the equipment we use in our lab. Many of our equipment are outdated and are not used these days as we have seen in our training. So, i just want to say it will be better i

Entrance Preview

I had given WBJEE Entrance Exam held on 15th April 2012. My rank was 20616. From that very year, they had introduced online counseling for admission and I had applied for it. I had chosen only top 5 colleges of that time and Asansol Engineering College is the nearest from my hometown Dhanbad, so I had opted for it. I got Electronics and Communication Engineering in the 2nd round of counseling out of 3 rounds.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is quite easy and the syllabus is divided into modules. Chapters are easy and even one night study is effective if you want to pass in exam only.

Internships Opportunities

Frankly speaking, No companies directly come to our college for internship. So,if anyone wants to do internship, they can go for online options like twenty19.com, internshala.com.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement is quite good in our college for CS,IT and ECE department but for core departments the way is not the same. Even i am a final year student of this college and recently got placement in TCS. In our campus, this year TCS,Mphasis,Mindtree,Persistent came to our college. 235 students got placed in TCS,31 in MindTree,14 in CTS and 13 in Wiprosource: aecwb.edu.in

College Events

4.5

College organises the annual fest in March-April and divided into two parts, one is Leganzza (Cultural fest) and another one is Technical Fest. several competitions are organised comprising of robotics, games, dance, role play etc. The college also invites celebrity to come to college for performance along with a mandatory band.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is 40,000 per sem. There will be one time library fee and security money during admission. Thats why first time fee will be around 1 lakh for whole year and then 40,000 per sem. The hostel facilities are available but with extra charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

If anyone wants to,he/she can apply for education loan through banks. The scholarships are available through state governments where students apply through their states and get benefits.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is of course memorable. Gender ratios is quite good in CS,IT and ECE department but there is a lack of girls in core branches even though Electrical department have good gender ratio. There are lots of extra curricular activities held in college for every type of students regarding study or sports. The labs are equipped well where students in group of 3-4 perform experiments. Cricket,Football,Volley Ball,Athletics are on top list of our college sports.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel is divided into 2 sections for boys. The first year students have separate hostel and 2nd to final year students have one hostel. Every room should have 2 students maximum. 24x7 water,24x7 electricity and wifi facilities are available. Girl's H

Alumni/Alumna

The connection of all the students are quite impressive. We have connection to our seniors through our facebook page where all the faculties, seniors and juniors of ours are connected. There is no hesitation of asking any doubts of ours.Even our seniors helped us a lot during our campus placements.

Exam Structure

The Exams will never give you pressure, the patterns is quite easy where some optional questions are also present. So,even if one left with a module to study could attempt full marks. The labs were same as general days just with an addition of viva-voce.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties of my branch are very supportive and helpful. You can ask questions amidst of class and even in their staff room. Not only this, they also aware about several competitions and ongoing activities where one can participate.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Placement Experience:

The senario of placement in all of the private colleges of West Bengal are more or less the same. Majority of the students are placed in Service Based Companies like TCS, Wirpo, Infosys, HCL, Accenture, Cognizent, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. These companies offer anywhere from 3.6 to 6 lpa packages. Only a handful of Product based companies come in these private colleges and cherry pick 2-3 student per college only. This is the reality of all the private colleges, not just our college. If you want to crack a high paying job, you will have to do it off campus. The students are eligible for internships from the 6th semester itself. The college does try to provide internship to students but only a few students end up getting the internships and most students need to find internships on their own. Some companies which came in 24-25 session which offered an internship and PPO are Amazon, SAP Labs, Accenture, etc. For a detailed placement stat, go to our college's website and look for training and placement stats. The college is honest in putting these stats. The stats are mostly reliable. The highest off campus placement in 24-25 session was by Snehadeep De, who secured a SDE role in Amazon with 47 lpa CTC. This was off campus so the college had no role to play here. The highest on campus placement was by two students in the company Juspay. They were offered the SDE role for 27 lpa CTC. The average placement of all the CS branches will be around 5-6 lpa. And approximately around 60-65% of the students get placed. This is the ground reality. And its the same in all of the WB private colleges. If you want to keep a backup option in case you don't want to get a 3.6 lpa job then start preparing for GATE, CAT or Civil Services from your second year. Its always preferred to have a backup option cause you can't trust a private college for providing you jobs.

The minimum placement opportunities of our college is good . If you are in good in aptitude, Group discussions and your CV and technical skills are strong then you can easily crack a 7-10lpa job from our college. Overall our college provides decent opportunities for our placements but you need to maintain certain GPA to sit on those placements

After the 6th semester we are eligible for the internship, also we can apply for both on campus and off campus placements. In our college some companies like Geotech, Infosys, Code Clouds, Unibit solutions visit every year. Average package is in the range of 3.5-5 Lakhs per annum and highest package is nearly 6-7Lpa. But post covid time our placement record decreased a bit. Nearly about 80-85% of CSE students get placed every year. Also I am currently appearing in interview of different companies for placement.
