Remarks

College management is very bad. Staff behaves very rudely with students. There is no respect for students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very planned. BTech Civil Engineering is 160 credit course. First-year is was common and than from second-year Civil Engineering core began. We had 2 industrial visit. We had structural design, build drawing, construction management which was good for practically applying in any job.

Placement Experience

2

There was no intern opportunity on campus. Only L&T visited our campus. For final year placement, only 4-5 core companies visited. Most of the jobs are in IT AND MANAGEMENT FIELD.

College Events

3.5

We have Tathva which is tech fest of our college that is very huge 3 days long fest. We have RAGAM which is a cultural fest, it is also 3 days long. Many of the National level singer, comedians, mentalists have come to our college. There is also Prithvi, which is tech fest of the civil engineering department.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Three types of fee structure are there. There is also a concession for EWS people. And the fee for Sc/St category people has been waived after 2016 by MHRD. And if family income is less than 100000 than same rules like SC/ST. For a normal general students fee is 100000 per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know much about it because I didn't apply for one. But when we come for admission SBI nit Calicut branch people will be present here and they provide loans.

Campus Life

2

Campus Life is very boring for a non-regional student. Most of the things are open for Kerala people. Most of the posts of responsibilities are held by Malayalis. Girls to boys ratio is around 30-35 percentage. And the environment for girls is not good, there is no freedom girls have to give roll call by 9 PM but the same rule is not there for boys.

Hostel Facilities

3

Messes are not good. Some hostels are good but rooms are not neat and clean. Common room is closed. But we have to pay charges for common room. Wifi speed is very low, lifts are not there. Some hostels faces water scarcity problem. We don't have indoor sports facilities in the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the alumni network is very strong. One of the college alumni won Oscar award second time. And one my senior studied in Columbia University provided me lot of guidance.

Admission

I wrote JEE Main exam, I got q seat under SC category. I choose this institution because it was on 5th place all over India. Since the college was established in 1961, so the infrastructure, Ranking, and popularity was also a factor that influenced me. I did counseling in Jossa and than I got admission, I submitted all m. Documents on the given date .

Faculty

1.5

We had 40 class for each subject in a single semester. 3 class per subject per week.and on an average 5 subjects were there in each semester. There was a major project in the final year of my BTech. Faculties are well experienced but they are having very rude behaviour, they mentally torture students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
