Overall this is a very good college to pursue graduation from.Here one gets a very good experience of college life and academics.The environment here is very competitive and nurturing for individual development.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very indepth for almost all branches.No superficial questions are asked.One has to have indepth knowledge of subjects in order to score good marks in exams and practicals.There are three tests conducted in a semester.2 unit tests of 20 marks each and one ESE of 60 marks.
Placement Experience
College Of Engineering provides the best placement and internship opportunities in the city of Pune.Various companies are invited every year by the College's Training and Placement Cell to participate in the recruitment process.Almost 90% of the batch gets placed every year.
College Events
There are chiefly four fests conducted at COEP.As follows -Mindspark(Technical fest), Impressions (Cultural fest), Regatta(Boat Club fest) and Zest(Sports festival).All of these fests are a grand success every year in terms of organization and budget.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very cheap compared to other Engineering colleges.For the current acadrmic year, it is 90 Thousand Rupees.This includes examination fee,development fee,gymkhana fee,boat club fee,alumni fund fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
I personally dont know of such a scholarship or loan facility that the college provides However since it is a goverment run college,plenty of opportunities are there for economically.backward category students.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are really good at this college.Almost all kinds of extracurricular activity can be found here including dramatics,debating, cultural, arts and craft, singing, Hyperloop etc.
Hostel Facilities
Yes i have opted for the hostel facility.The hostels in the hostel campus of COEP are very old.Sometimes they lack the basic infrastructure needed for the living.However college tries its best in this regard.The fees is merely 30,000.Hence it is very affordable for everyone.
Alumni/Alumna
They are very well experienced and well networked working at various organizations around the globe.We get good recommendations and advice from them while selecting course,minors and honors subjects.So would recommend them.
Admission
The admission process is fairly simple.We have to give the Maharashtra State Education Board's Common Entrance Test(CET).Based on the merit in the CET exam and rank one gete admission here.The admission process is a centralised one.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is not upto the mark that is expected from such an elite college.Some faculty are good in terms of teaching methodologies and general attitude towrds students However a large amount of them are very biased and orthodox.
