Remarks

Overall my experience with the university was very good and I am gaining a lot from here. I am already pleased that I opted for a distance course from here, rather than a full-time course. It has helped me significantly in terms of managing my financials.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is good enough to establish a strong base for PhD research work, which I will be pursuing later. Doubt resolution sessions are held on weekends and exams Are held biannually. We got the notes for the topics from the college itself.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My annual fee was around 17k which was pretty nominal and very much feasible. I only paid 34k for the two-year program and we had almost all the perks which were available for the students of a regular batch.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular activities are limited to our college. The location of the college is good and the surroundings are serene. Our university gives a feel of a natural ambiance with lush green surroundings.

Admission

Admission process is pretty smooth and straightforward. Students can get a seat in the program, on the basis of the marks obtained in the previous program. After my graduation I joined a job and couldn't pursue masters, that's why I went for a distance program from Kuvempu University.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is very supportive and thorough. We only got to meet during the doubt resolution sessions. Despite that, they all are very accessible. They shared their contact numbers with us so that we can share our queries with them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.
