KIIT: King of IITs

I think the management in KIIT is quite slow. But they're progressing in it very fast which is very good.

The course fee is 1,50,000 only and the exam fee per semester is 1000 only. The exam is very strict here but transparency is maintained. The invigilators are highly professional egen during invigilation duties. The course is updated and examinations are held in a very fair manner. For cheaters, they're usually debarred or give exams the next year along with the juniors.

KIIT University is known for the best placements across the country in private colleges. After all, there is barely any company from the big fours- Deloitte, E&Y, KPMG, and PWC which comes to any private college in India, except KIIT University. Also, musigma, ZS Associates, Ericsson, Samsung, Philips, Nissan, and many big companies like so come here for recruitments. Also, mass recruiters like Accenture, Capgemini, Wipro and cognizant take students in hundreds! I bagged Accenture and Capgemini in the first place itself. Start-up companies are also frequent recruiters here. This year around 300 companies came already by giving placements to 90% of students already.

So many events are conducted in KIIT University. Recently, a national university sports competition was organized called "khelo India" which was completely organized by our university. Students from all over the country participated in all the sports and were taken good care of as well. Also, the Hockey World Cup recently held was sponsored by KIIT University which was indeed a grand success! Apart from these, many seminars and workshops keep going on. Co-curricular activities and competitions are held every now and then.

Fee Structure is feasible. The semester fee is 1,50000 and the mess fee is 15,000. Hostel fee depends upon the kind of room (single or double or triple seated bedroom, AC or non-AC). The fee breakdown is very transparent and is mentioned very clearly while joining the university. Every detail is mentioned in the Student's personal SAP portal.

Top performers in the exams are given 10,000 scholarship per month. Also, the tip performers in the KIITEE exam are awarded the same.

The culture in KIIT is very diverse. Not only students all over the country come here to study but students from the other parts of the world study here too, especially from Afghanistan, Nepal, and South Africa. We celebrate every culture and tradition here and respect them a lot. There is no sexism or discrimination amongst the students which is very good. Talking about sports and competitions, students are very competitive here. They excel wherever they go, whatever the competition maybe! I won't be boasting if I say that KIITians are extremely flexible and talented.

The Alumni network is very good. They're helpful and very kind as seniors. They helped me a lot during and pre-placement sessions with the placement preparations. They made me aware of a lot of things that I should know before joining any company.

I got into this college via KIITEE written Exam. I scored a pretty decent rank and got admitted into this college. I opted for BTech in the EEE branch i.e., Electronics and Electrical Engineering because I have a very keen interest in physics specially the concerning subjects with respect to my branch. EEE is a very good branch and it offers a variety of subjects which broadened my horizons for the past three years. The faculty of this university is so talented and knowledgeable from reputed colleges mostly from IITs and NITs. I got counseled after giving KIITEE exam and chose my branch of interest. Then I received mail few days later and was proceeded for the admission after few days in Bhubaneswar. Everything was hassle-free and parents and refreshments including lunch during admissions were taken care of with free meals provided by the University. We were also given a tour to hostels and the college campus including classes. I swear, I fell in love with this university at first sight!

They're amazing, as previously mentioned. They're so knowledgeable and so helpful with the subjects and also highly professional. Apart from just teaching, they're very close to the students and interact with them including the problems students are facing (if any) in a hostel or in the campus or getting bullied. Though the campus is ragging free, the facilities make sure no student face ragging. Hence, making KIIT a ragging free campus as well.
