College review

Overall the college is average. All depends on student and his hard work for placements and job. College only helps and encourages and also trains students for getting handsome placements but some faculty and exam pattern are obstructions for students in learning extra and new things.

The course curriculum is quite outdated except few subjects. Topics like ML,Block chain and AI have recently being introduced but still few subjects are outdated in their contents. The exam structure includes: 3 mid semester, 2 Learning Activity/project/seminar and one end semester exam.

Placements and jobs are good for those who possess technical knowledge ,skills and out of the box approach. For others placement is quite average. Large number of companies visit college but handful of students get handsome placement. Fault is of both student and faculty.

Events which are being conducted are : Department events - Inception and Cryptec which are technical events conducted for enhancing skills. Annual fest- Anadyanta is the biggest event conducted here which is quite good and worth waiting for. It's both cultural and technical where some celebrities also perform. Other events- Some events are organised during festivals and national holidays.

Fees structure: Tution fee - 2,18,000 rupees Hostel fee- 65,000 rupees University fee- 35,000 rupees Mess fees - 25,000 rupees approx. Total around 3 lacs per year Other expenses may be around 50,000 rupees a year if one is not spending too much.

As such scholarships are mainly offered to meritorious students , girls, and students belonging to Karnataka. Loan facility is not there. Scholarships reduces only the Tution fee. One has to give the remaining fees.

Extracurricular activities : It include sports, hackathons , singing , dancing, entrepreneurship etc. They are well conducted and often organised for all students to participate and learn. Technical events are the one which are conducted frequently.

Alumni network is good. Alumni often visit college and give advise to juniors for doing better. Seniors are also helpful except a few. Some sort of ragging experiences are also there but very less. Ragging is treated as offence and is punishable if reported but that is not the case here.

The admission in this college is through a entrance test called COMED-K which is a combined test for all engineering and medical colleges in Bangalore. After writing this test, rank is alloted based on one's marks and depending upon the rank college and Engineering departments are decided or chosen.

The faculty is quite average. Few faculties are very good but many are not up to the mark. They just focus on attendance and maintaining cgpa. No attention is given on improving technical skills and knowledge. Some faculties like HOD's give importance to learning new and modern technologies but most do not.
