Remarks

Since it is an autonomous college, faculty members are more egoistic about their positions and other things not related to studies and academics. They do not like getting challenged by students if something is asked out of the box. As I mentioned most of the faculty members are limited yo bookish language, they get frowned when a different (maybe better) solution is suggested to a problem. Also this is a great disadvantage to the students since they cannot think openly and build their basics properly.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is abruptly defined and thoroughly revised in consecutive years. The exam structure is also manipulated so that maximum of what is taught is asked in the paper and the student attempts an asnwer to it.

Placement Experience

4.5

Good placement opportunities available in the college with large selection of companies recruiting many different students from various branches. Internship opportunities are also provided accordingly however it is recommended to apply for good companies which aim more at learning and preparing college newbies for future.

College Events

4

YASH(the biggest event of college) which is a mix of many different events. Traditional day celebration, numerous minor events for welfare of people and blood donations as well. Rotary Club events are also held at various levels in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for open category students is quite expensive however if you belong to reserved category or if there is admission through centralised admission process (CAP) then it is comparatively low since scholarship is provided by government. Also schemes like Tuition fees waiver scheme is available for students with good grades.

Fees and Financial Aid

TFWS(tuition fees waiver scheme) available for meritorious students is available. Rather than that all students who are admitted through centralised admission process get scholarships from government provided they satisfy the criteria. Provision of Laptops for toppers is done every year.

Campus Life

4

There are four more colleges within the same area and all the four colleges share the same playground which can be used for all the activities including sports and games. Lab assistants are kind and helpful(though little egoistic) and are helpful most of the time. Extracurricular activities takes place round the year.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

College hostels are quite expensive rather than that you can opt for different hostels available nearby. Other hostels do charge significantly low (upto 4 times low ) than what college hostels charge with better facilities like drinking water and good sanitation services as well.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful with most of the things. However due to constantly updating and changing syllabus and schemes along with course syllabus manipulation it may happen sometimes that they may not be able to help completely.

Admission

I got admission through Maharashtra Entrance Exam (MHCET) and that score was useful to get admission through Institute level Quota since most of the seats are occupied by reservation students which makes it really difficult for other students to get aission through CAP round.

Faculty

3.5

Very few but well educated senior faculties available in the departments. However faculties at assistant professor level are mostly limited to bookish knowledge. Most of them will not be able to answer out of the box queries of students and hate it when a student may come up with something better than what they teach/taught. Since it is an autonomous college, half of the students are simply buttering the faculty for marks and better internal grades.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
