My college

It has drastically increased its feets in the fields of innovativation and promoting entrepreneur and innovators. NIT Raipur is trying to cope up with the present and future scenario of Engineering education

I will give my honest opinion, The curriculum hasn't been updated for the future. we still study in 1950's curriculum, but the things are changing now here, i think the course will get a new fresh curriculum very soon. Their are 2 Kind of exams, two class tests of 15 marks each and endsemester exam of 70 marks. Total marks are 120. out of which the rest 20 marks depends on your behavior and performance in class.

Placement and job opportunities are good here. In my branch average package is 6-7lacs per annum. Their are many private companies that come for in campus hiring. The college doesn't really provided internship but one can still do if they can convince the faculty for it. stipend will depend on the faculty.

Aavartan - Central indias largest techfest. Consist of technical competitions robotics events entertainment activities. Eklectika - Cultural fest of NIT Raipur. Shruti- Musical fest of NIT Raipur Samar- Sports fest of NIT Raipur E summit- Biggest Entrepreneurship summit NIT Raipur TEDx - TED talks Other than this main events their are various small celebrations like diwali, holi and many more throughout the year.

Fee is based on the Caste and catagory of the individual. for sc, st, obc the fee is feasible also for people with less income can easily pay the fee. Since NIT Raipur is an autonomous government college, the fees are very feasible as compared to other colleges.

The college dont provide any scholarships but their are government scholarships that will pay the college fees and hostel fees. one such scholarships is CG govt scholarships, one has to apply for it online and submit the documents. the money will come directly into the students account.

Talking about Extracurricular activities, Labs are Good with sufficient equipment. but i think the experiments should be updated for the latest trends. Sports is very much appreciated here. A separate club is their in our college named Shaurya for sports. They conduct various sports activities throughout the year.

In my 1st year i had opted for the college hostel. I had completely experienced the hostels of NIT Raipur Hostel infrastructure-7/10 The infrastructure is ok. There is not much rooms for every student so very few top rankers only get the hostels. facilities-7/10 facilities are sufficient for a student food, water are clean and ok.

Since NIT Raipur is very old college , it has a very big alumni base. The senior students are also vert helpful in very much tasks. The alumnis had done great helps to the students here College itself by providing various facilities to the college.

For admission in NIT Raipur i have to clear Jee mains entrance exam with decent score 123 then apply for the different colleges from their website online for course i liked i.e. electrical engineer, after that based on my score i was selected for NIT Raipur Electrical Engineering.

I havr a mixed opinion about faculty, some Faculties here are very good and experienced in their fields while some are just for salary, they dont care about you weather you understood or not they have no interaction with students, while their are some Faculties who are very good, they will teach you till you dont understood completely and also help in other activities you want to do.
