One of the best emerging college

The college provides good infrastructure facility. The students need not worry about ragging as we have an anti ragging committe in our college. Seniors are very friendly and students dont have to worry about ragging. The faculties are friendly and we can approach them during their free time to clarify our doubts. Many companies come to recruit students here.

Bcom is a three year degree program spread over six semesters. The course is designed to provide the students with wide range of commerce and management skills. We will be able to familiarize with accounting, banking, finance and organizational behavior. For the end semester exams , we have to write for 70 marks for some subjects and 50 marks for remaining subjects. 30 marks is for internals like 15% of mid semester exam marks, attendance etc.

Many companies do come for recruiting. Placements are based on the performance of the students in the interview and also based on their marks in exams.The selection process by the company usually starts with a pre-placement talk in which the organization gives the students insight into the company profile, job profile, CTC etc. followed by the actual selection process of written test/group discussion/interview etc.

Various events are celebrated in our college. We have the most special day called ethnic day once in a year where everyone wears there festival dress. The students from kerala wear dhothi, shirt , and girls wear saree. We also have kalajyoti to exhibit the dance skill of students. Others events like model united nations, various promotion's etc are also present.

The fees are affordable and fair when compared to other colleges. My tuition fee is 55,000 a year. We also have to pay ?1500 in a Semester as examination fee. Kristu Jayanti is ranked one for the best emerging college of Bengaluru. When compared to the facilities available the fees is fair.

Kristu Jayanti college offers three types of scholarships. 1) merit cum scholarship : for those students who shows outstanding performance in academics. 2) talent scholarship : for those students who are good in sports , arts , literature and who had won prices in university level. 3) SC/ST : This scholarship is for those particular students who belongs to sc/st category to provide aid in their studies.

Various extracurricular activities are also conducted in the college. The college sports team is good. The cricket team has secured 1st position in the university level. Football team has reached the national level. The lab facility is also good. The college also has a film group to showcase the talents of students in cinemas, short films etc.

Many hostels and pg's is available nearby.I am staying in a PG. The fees here is ?4000 per month. We have free wifi facility, 24 hours hot water supply , cctv surveillance , no curfews, and invertor. All this facilities is included in the fees. Food is not provided and so we have to take mess outside. There are many hotels outside. Mess fees varies from ?3200 - ?3600 per month.

Of course they are helpful. Our seniors who had passed out had secured jobs with better salaries. The toppers would come to college and would explain the way how they had achieved it. The seniors also help us in improving and exhibiting our talents.

I got admission in Merit. Those students who have secured more than 90% in 12th grade will get admission in merits. They dont have to attend the interview. Other students have to pass through the entire admission process wherein they have to attend the interview and eligible students would admission. You can also get admission with recommendations from priests, Nuns ministers. You have to fill the aplication form online and then the college would allocate you a day to visit the college.

Jayantian teacher is a facilitator , guide, mentor and leader who creates a suitable learning ambience inside and outside the classroom. The faculties are also well educated and they teach in a way where every student will understand the topics covered. They also pay individual attention. Some teachers are very friendly.
