Remarks

Positive : No sign of ragging, campus is totally covered with CCTV cameras. Institute is awarded with Institute of Eminence by Government of india. It ranks near 30 in MHRD list of engineering colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is good every subject are covered and examination structure is also balanced and fair. As i am a student of computer science and engineering, so all subject mandatory for an computer engineer are available and other subject like math, physics, chemistry, web technology and more available. Examination are held two times in a semester and internal are of 30 marks overall it is of 100 marks.

Placement Experience

4.5

In my institute more than 300 companies hire students. placement starts from 6th semesters itself unlike other colleges. And average package tends to 6 LPA and tops at 36 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Dell, TCS, Delloite, VMWare, Infosys, Mu Sigma, and many more.

College Events

4

All festivals of hindu, muslim, christians, sikh, etc. are celebrated every year. Events like KIIT Fest, Kritarth, DJ night and many more. All events are organised by students itself. Authority only interfere only in some funding help, auditorium and ground allotment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is expensive but it is value for money. Lab are in good number and with good size and proper equipments. AC is available in each classroom. With projector or 55 inch LCD display and computer. Hostel and campus is covered 100MBPS open WiFi for students and faculty only. Good security in hostel and campus available by security guards and high resolution CCTV cameras. Hostel and campus are in same premises.

Fees and Financial Aid

My rank in entrance exam was 76 and in this institute 1.2 Lakh per annum of scholarship is given. and 0.6 Lakh for rank 100 to 1000. So I'm getting scholarship of 1.2 Lakh per annum so it converts to 4.8Lakh for my entire graduation.

Campus Life

5

Football, basketball, chess, coding contests, swimming, basketball, cricket, badminton, gym, tennis, volleyball and many more. labs for respective courses are available. Like as I'm in computer science lab for IoT, Web Technology, Networking, OS, Data Structures, Tools and techniques, Operating systems, C/C++ , Digital electronics, basic electronics, basic electrical, BMS lab, ED lab, Physics, Chemistry and more.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel with good security by cameras, biometrics and warden. 24 hr electricity. Purified water is also available. Ambulance is also available for emergencies. Good toilet with cleaning everyday. Broad corridors. 100MBPS internet without any data limit.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is good not best but they are helpful. They help whenever they asked only if they are capable of doing it. No sign of ragging is present in this institute because of an environment which is created over the years.

Admission

Institute conducts an entrance exam i.e. KIITEE. Branches are allotted on the basis of rank in entrance exam in counselling. Then pay fees and you're in. In counselling quota for girls and St./Sc. is also there, so a variety of students present in each year of college. Fees can be payed later it is not mandatory to pay fees at counselling itself so you after anyone changed their plan to join college then they can leave and even after paying fee anyone wants to leave then their entire fees will be refunded.

Faculty

3.5

80% faculty are Ph.D. holder and remaining are M.Tech. holder so I my opinion faculty are awesome. Teachers are well trained and experienced, and that is why they know how to handle students in even worse conditions. Teachers also respects opinion of students and also take charge if needed. Teachers are friendly to students.

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams

Reviewed on Mar 27, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
