College Review

Really proud of my college. Academics and everything is good. Hostel life is also pretty nice. Just that, the fees are a bit high, and the comparative placement is not at par. Also, there are scopes for growth of a person tremendously in various fields.

The course is pretty vast covering subjects like Biology as well in the 1st year (just the basics). There are labs and theory subjects without proper class timings. The syllabus is a bit lenghty, but I guess it's necessary for this day and age.

Job placement is goof for the CSE, CSSE, CSCE, ECS and IT students. For students of other streams, it's okayish. Like, say about 60%. Our college does provide internship although I don't know the exact details of it as I'm just in 2nd year.

Festivals of all religions are celebrated on our college, and we have our own Fest and other events like hackathons, various competitions, etc, be it in music, dance, Photography, etc. There are also sporting competitions.

The fees are a bit expensive, but the facilities are also pretty good. The fees are expensive because it also gets used for the funding of underprivileged tribal students who are taught at KISS. They study, eat, and wear everything free of cost, which is a very good initiative, but it's the reason why our fees are a bit high compared to other private colleges in the same league.

Students who get very good ranks get some scholarship, the exact details are not known to me. Other than that, I did not avail any such offers for loans, so J can't really help you with that. Extremely sorry for the inconvenience.

There are labs for each and every department and in multiple numbers with the latest of equipment and technology. Our University also has great activity and enthusiasm in various sports like cricket, football, basketball, hockey, etc and has several courts, grounds, gyms, swimming pools, etc.

The hostel infrastructure and facilities are good. There are both AC and Non AC hostels, with options of triple sharing and double sharing as well. Food is very good compared to the price. Washrooms are a bit messy. There's drinking water 24*7

Seniors are very helpful and they do not rag the students at all (basic introduction is only taken from the juniors). The provide notes, suggestions on college etc. They have their own experience, which helps us a lot.

I had to appear for KIITEEE. Students who clear the cutoff, get selected. There are 3 segments, physics, chemistry, maths and there are negative marks for wrong answers as well. Approximately 30000 students get admitted every year.

The faculty is pretty good but the assistant teachers can be improved as well. There are many IITians teaching in our college as well who make the subjects lucid and interesting. They're very friendly as well.
