Honest review of my college

Everything has both positive and negative sides. In terms of study, extracurricualr activities, sports, cultural events college is best. But when we look at the fee structure it makes hole in parents pocket. In terms of placement college is above average. If your have father enough money then sure you can opt for this college.

I always wanted to become Mechanical Engineer, so I selected for this course. There were so many other courses. Anyone can select them on the basis of their rank in KIIT entrance exam. Exams were scheduled two times in each semester, ie one for Mid Term(15 marks) and other is End Sem (60 marks). Rest 15 were for internal marks on the basis of performance in semester like attendence, assignment, etc.

In terms of placement and job, college is above average. Many big companies visit for job recruitments here in Day 0 like Microsoft, Dell, Samsung, Deloitte, etc. In day 1 companies like accenture, Infosys, Capegemini, wipro visits for recruitment. Yes, college provide internship. I dont know about what stipend they provide.

Yes, I can say that in terms of events my college was super. There were many fests organised every year. Our yearly college event was KIIT FEST. In which every student get chance to show their creativity in field of educational, social and cultural activities. Prize money for fest is generally 3 Crore Rs. This event lasts for 3 days. Many celebrities, singers, comedian are the part of fest like Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Ankit Tiwari, Salim Sulaiman, Tulsi Kumar, DJ Nucleai, DJ kiran Kamath, Kumar Viswas, Jubin Nautiyal, Zakir Khan, etc. Every department has their own fest too. Mechanical department fest was Yantriki.

In terms of fee, college is little bit expensive. And fees are hiking year by year for new admissions. I can explain fee structure of my academic year. That is I had to pay Rs62000 counselling fee out of which Rs6000 is counselling fee and for rest of the money they provide you Blazer and a Laptop of your imagination. I got HP notepad probook 440 G2. Semester wise fee was Rs110000 ie, total fee is pf Rs888000 for 4 years. Additional fee of Rs1000 for each semester exams.

Yes, they provide scholarship to top rankers of KIIT entrance exam. Also they provide schlorship to top 3 rankers who performed well in semester exam yearly. As you can see fee are high so they provide loan facilities. I availed loan facility with IDBI bank.

In terms of extracurrricualr activities and sports this collegeis best. There were 4 lawn tennis court, 4 swimming pool, 1 cricket stadium, 2 basketball court, 6 badminton court and many more. Anyone who wants to start career in sports can start from here. There were different different societies for extracurricular activities like nukkad natak, Kiit film society, KAAS, and many more.

Yes, I have opted for the hostel. Hostels were good. There were many categories available, ie AC and Non Ac hostel, Double or triple bed occupancy. As I can say hostels were very good with Wifi connections and washrooms were clean. I paid Rs 65000 per year for hostel fee in which Rs35000 was for accomodation and Rs30000 was for Mess.

The most beautiful thing I liked in college is senior junior interaction. Every senior was supportive to junior. Yes they have created a alumni network in which passed out student can register junior students can take guidance from them.

I saw the advertisement of Kiit University somewhere and researched about it. The best thing is that application fee was Nil. I submitted online form and sent a hardcopy of form to Kiit University. There is an entrance exam taken by university and mode of paper is online. I was selected in entrance exam. Then I discussed with my teachers in coaching about it and they recommended it to me.

There were many courses in university. Faculty for each courses are in more than sufficient numbers. Each faculty is very well educated and high experienced. In engineering course, all faculty were from IITs and NITs. We had 2-3 faculty for each subject. They have very good knowledge of their subjects. Many of the faculties were doimg researches with top most faculty of IITs.
