About Master Degree of college

Good infrastructure and a great teaching-learning environment.

M.Tech course is of 2 years. First-year is divided into two semesters wherein there will be six theory and two laboratory class in each semester. There will be two internal exams and one semester exams. Second-year is an entirely research-based project which has many levels of internal presentation and one external presentation.

Everyone, 100% of students got placed from our batch. Mostly they are working as faculty in various organization. Some are working in reputed companies. Some are doing research in various fields and pursuing PhD from various reputed organization of India and abroad. The minimum salary is seven lakh per annum.

Major college fest celebrated is kaalrav, an annual college three days function. With this, every department celebrated its fest. A lot for technical and social clubs are there in college. Various events are celebrated in and outside the college campus.

Fee for the master of technology course is three lakh approximately. Fee can be paid yearly or semester wise. Admission usually starts in February every year. First-year admission fee is around one lakh fifty thousand excluding hostel fees. No other fees need to be given after that.

I did not opt for any scholarship. Though the college has scholarships for top 10 per cent scorer in their previous course.

Ambience Campus life is very nice. It is located far from Gangtok life. Weather is usually hot here. Gender Ratio: Boys are more than girls. Department has many well-equipped labs with good machines and all necessary software. Classrooms are well furnished. WiFi is there in the entire campus. Facilities in hostel: Hostel rooms are good, clean and nice ambience.

SMIT has a great alumni network. There is alumni cell especially dedicated for connecting with alumni.

I had applied offline through the online process is also there. I bought a brochure from the college itself for rs. 1000, filled the form and submitted. They took an interview for selection in m. Tech course. Fee can be paid yearly or semester wise. Admission usually starts in February every year.

Teachers in the department : There are many knowledgeable and PhD holder teachers in the CSE Department. They use modern tools for teaching. The course curriculum is very relevant. You can do m.tech in various fields of computer science. There are research labs useful for mtech courses.
