About my college

I can't say our college was very good but everyone knows about government colleges. It is like a typical government college. I say our college is not that good not that bad. It is average kind of. But it you stay four years you will be emotionally attached to the college.

Actually IGIT Sarang is under Bijupattnaik University of Technology(BPUT). It became automomous in the year 2017 under BPUT only. So after autonomy it's exam structure changed. But the course is same as BPUT. Most of the colleges of Odisha comes under BPUT only.

No internship is not provided by our college. The placements is average for computer science engineering. For other branches very less placements. The student have to give efforts by own for placement.

A numerous amount of functions and events are organised in our college. Horizon is the best function. It is a techno-cultural tech fest which is celebrated hugely. Then we have athletic meet(UTSHAHAN), all branch welcome functioms, farewell functions, Annual functions, picnics, all branch tech fest individually, movie fest etc.

For CSE and ETC the fees structure was 77500 per anum per anum and hostel fees was 18000 per 6months. For other branches the fess structure was 34000 and hostel fees was same. As a government instituition the fees for CSE and ETC was high. For other branches it is feasible.

I didn't avail any scholarships but a number of scholarships are provided like prerna, e-medhabruti etc. Loan facilities are not provided by our college, students have to apply for loans themselves. But as it is a government college loans can be availed by any bank.

Numerous sports like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton etc are being played in our college. Different grounds are present for each game and groups also formed. Ectra curricular activities like Karate, Judo, NCC, SOLE, etc groups were there. The labs are also good in our college having good equipments.

Yes I was in hostel. The hostel was average type but the food provided by hostel was good. The 4th year hostel was best among all. They provide single room for final year students. In 3rd year triple occupancy or double occupancy is provided. In 1st year and 2nd year students in a room.

The alumini network was not that much strong in our college. But now I have heard that the college is trying to improve it's alumini network.At our time the alumini network was not that good. In the 4years of stay we saw only one alumini meet.

I gave jee entrance exam. According to my score I applied for different colleges and I got IGIT Sarang, a government college of Odisha.The college is situated at a distance of 130kms from Bhubaneswar which is the capital of Odisha.

The faculties are very much talented but as we know about government colleges the take very less classes. So in most of the subjects only 1/3rd of course is covered. The rest we have to study by ourselves.
