Remarks

college only gives priority to academics. They do not provide facilities for sports. college is not providing enough funding for the programmes hosted by students. So the students themselves has ti find money for hosting a programme

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Btech in kerala comes under kerala technical university. The course structure and the evaluation of results are pathetic. University gives lot of pressure and there is a delay in conducting as well as publishing the results.

Placement Experience

4

The college claims to have good placement records. The college does not provide any internship programmes. Instead the students should find a place to do their internship and submit the certificates of the internship for varification.

College Events

2.5

The college hosts different events major events are techfest and cultural fests. Tech fest is conducted in every 2 years. the name of techfest is ignis. The name of cultural fest is vipanchika. There are also certain events hosted by college union

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is expensive.the fee for merit students for an year is 85000 plus the food and travel cost. And the fee for management seat is 134000 per year plus food and travel charges. There is only a one time settlement of the fee in an year

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scolarships availabe for students who are economically backward as well as the students with good academics. There are many fee concessions for the economically backward students. In order to avail this sufficient documents should be submitted

Campus Life

4

The main drawback is that the college donot support extra caricular activities one of the main reason is due to the tight schedule of the semester. The faculty does not allow the students to participate in extra caricular activites to complete the portions

Get a minimum score of 10 for pcm and get a rank in the entrance exam. Once you got a rank you can apply in college and you can get admisson in management or merit seat

The faculty of the college is good and have good knowledge about the subjects. The interactions with the faculty may not be as like school. They have good knowledge about the subjects but less friendly

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

I chose this course because the curriculum covers key subjects like Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Deep Learning right from the early semesters. The inclusion of electives such as IoT, Cloud Computing, and NLP made it future-relevant and versatile.

Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies - [KUFOS], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Food Technology)
Reviewed on May 11, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
