College Events
What thrilled and amazed me on the first day of my college is its diversity. The University has students from all parts of the country. All the festivals and events are celebrated with full enthusiasm. Dionysia is the fresher’s theatre festival which is held annually by the University. The event consists of a variety of plays staged by the first-year students. The Fresher’s Talent Hunt is the event that leads up to the Fresher’s celebration and involves a display of creativity and talent from the incoming undergraduate batch. The Dandia Night earmarks the beginning of the Dusshera holidays by providing a night full of festivity and frolic. Many other festivals and events are celebrated in the same way.
Campus Life
National law University is not only known for its strong academic background but for its extracurricular activities too. The auditorium of the University is comparable to a mediocre movie theater. Lots of seminars are organised on varying contemporary legal topics from time to time. Associates and delegates from leading firms are invited to throw some light and for providing insight into the field and answering students' questions. Weekly movie screenings, occasional parties, internal sports tournaments, etc keep the students engaged and stress- free. The common room and gym area of the campus is amazing. The only thing that dissapoints the students about the university is the lack of sporting facilities. There is only one ground where students have to compromise with basketball, volleyball, and football. Badminton courts are uncovered.
Hostel Facilities
The University has a well- managed campus with good infrastructure and hostel facilities. There are separate hostels for boys and girls where the first year students get 3 seater rooms for first 3 years. And for last 2 years they get 2 seater with attached balcony. The mess food available in the hostel is really good as compared to other colleges. The hostel has common room and gym facility too. The Common room has good facilities with the TT table and a pool board along with a Television. Also, the Hostel has 2 lifts installed in the building and there is a special provision for hot water in bathrooms along with the water cooler with R.O. Facility on each floor. Students also get a separate study table, chair.
