Remarks

Amity has grown in the past 12 years and specially around India where it has till now been able to provide a high level education system in 11 states. The Kolkata branch itself is about 4 years now and since then it has grown to a massive amount .

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Apple machines are provided , proper timetable and attendance is marked . This course comes with a totally different industry experience which might be helpful enough. The college has provided us with lots of facilities

Internships Opportunities

My college provides with lot of options for the internships . My recent experience has been very very delightful , as a trainee I wasn't given any stipend on my first job .But eventually later on I have seen my seniors getting placed on various good companies

Placement Experience

3

The placements and job opportunities depends on your CGPA and your work. There are students from our college getting jobs in WIPRO and T series .Discovery and travel .Some of the students even got inspired to open their own firm .

College Events

3.5

Cake mixing festival, navratri, mahalaya, baisakhi, holi, Diwali and many more. Other than these we also celebrate the Freshers and and farewell and academic meets and seminars. Activities and oths such games are used.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's kind of in the middle of feasible and expensive. For one who gets a scholarship, the burden is ofc a little less but the other one who got admission on no merit basis is still paying itself a bit of experience

Fees and Financial Aid

After schooling ,based on your Marks Amtiy provides a minimum of 25% scholarship to its students .Gradually when the CGPA increases the student might as well can be offered a further continuation of course at the college under scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Amtiy provides extra curricular activities like basketball, football, cricket ,badminton, volleyball, pithu, kabaddi, etc. Not only are there indoor games but also swimming and other athletics as well.

Hostel Facilities

5

Compared to the campus facilities, I would like to mention that though being well furnished and with outer facilities , the laundry provided by Amity is not so good for a students hostel. Othe than those the life in Amity is great.

Alumni/Alumna

Very helpful alumni and seniors . We are offered summer and as well as winter courses to keep us active even during the breaks. Seniors have been very helpful throughout my course and the best part is NO ragging.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is a good and also it is strict , therefore any kind of unfair means results in back paper. Admit card and id proof is allowed and only then can one sit for the exam. The results come up within a month.

Admission

An Entrance test which was followed by an interview taken by Deen herself. The entrance test level is easy but the selection criteria might be the toughest part over here since there are students even coming from abroad.

Faculty

3

The faculty so far seen is pretty much friendlier than compared to any of the govt.colleges . Teachers really lookout to your future and see to it that any topic is covered within the assigned time.Attendance is marked only when the student enters .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the theory part of our curriculum isn't much relevant or prepares for real - world applications, only some basic information is what I feel is necessary, although the lab and the practical part prepares us for real - world applications and teaches us a lot of things related to photography, news paper page building, survey report, etc. I believe they should have a better approach and teach more relevant real - world or in demand market skills which'll help the students in the future. Exams are conducted 2 times in a year, once between March - april, and second time between August - September.

Course Curriculum Overview:

From my childhood, I'm into music and this course allows me to further widen my knowledge of the entertainment industry, films, Television and etc. So this course will allow me to understand how media and journalism world works, and help me pursue the art that I love. The timings could be better of the college, but rather than that everything is mostly good. The frequency in my opinion, should be reduced to 3 main semester exams, and to have small mid semester exams throughout. That's my perspective.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. I opted for this course because I thought it would have a good practical work, with good exposure and experience. But this course has nothing as such. The documentary we did was done all by ourselves. College did not help at all. There was a photo journalsm option in one paper but our college did not let us study that. They did not teach anything about photography, no practical training was given. 2. None. The curriculum doesn't prepare us for the real world at all. There is no professional study or activities. No preparation for interviews or real world jobs. Only theoretical and advices from our faculty. College doesn't provide any activity that can help us for the real world job. 3. More and more practical work with the help of college. More exposure needed. High quality software and equipments are needed. Students need a GOOD professional lab. More exciting activities for students. Placement opportunities, internships etc. 4. BAD. Per sem arrives in 2.5 months, too short time

Course Curriculum Overview:

Journalism is one of my favorite sudject . One of the reasons for choosing this subject is that only a journalist can highlight the good and bad aspects of our society before the people. The scope of the subject is journalism but it is huge. We can learn not only journalism but also photography, radio, film studies etc. The behaviors of all the professors in the journalism department in this college is very well. They very carefully explain all the topics thoroughly to the students so that the students do not have to face any difficulty with those topics later. Every year two semesters are taken every six months if the students do all the classes carefully and study well then they can easily pass by getting good marks
