i chose NIT Kurukshetra mainly because it's close to my home town and is considered one of the reputed colleges in Haryana. Compared to other NIT's like NIT Jalandhar snd SVNIT Surat, NIT Kurukshetra has a more competitive cutoff, which shows how sought after it is, especially due to its location near Delhi. I took this college because the nit kurukshetra is one of top college in India for engeenering. I also applied dtu and i also get it in but not cs breach which is my priority. I also want to go iit but i am able to qualified the jee advance. The admission process is through josaa counseling the eligibility criteria is that you have qualify jee mains the cutoff rank is vary according to your category. The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges. There is state reservation of 50% in all NIT's. Admission Process:- JOSAA counselling:-Students list their prefernces based on JEE rank, and seats are allocated accordingly.
