Remarks

It was a mixed experience of ups and downs. Made some very good friends who will stay for life. Got my first breakthrough into the corporate world courtesy of the college. It's just that there were mostly sales-oriented jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was easy but exhaustive in the first 2 semesters but then it got quite tough in the final 2 semesters. We had half-yearly exams for the 4 semesters. There were surprise monthly tests which also added to the final score.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement and job opportunities were decent but there were mostly sales jobs. I got selected for an internship with the Indian Market Research Bureau. Life enriching experience. Monthly stipends were dependent on the quality of your work.

College Events

3

There was a freshers party at the beginning for us. We also had some traditional events during teachers' day. Later we also threw a freshers party as seniors for the new batch. Good experience as you get to interact with everyone.

Fee Structure And Facilities

A bit on the expensive side. It was around 4.5 lakhs for the 4 semesters but got reduced by 20% if you paid at one go. Similar colleges were charging at least one lakh lesser than us. Additional cost for the laptop.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm not aware of anything as such. It's just that there was a 20% deduction of around 90,000 if you paid at once during the admission. Have seen few friends opting for the loan facilities. The college didn't provide any scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

Labs were amazing and well equipped with the latest technology. Internet speed was also decent. Nothing to boast of in the sports field. There was just a small ground where we used to compete with the engineering students.

Hostel Facilities

3

No, I didn't as I stayed at home with my family. But I've heard from friends who opted for the hostel. The feedback was positive from them as it was a good place to chill. Only the food quality came for criticism.

Alumni/Alumna

Not really, most of them were passed as the jobs they got were not good. The ones who got decent opportunities mostly shifted to other cities and severed ties with the institution. So in one word, not helpful.

Admission

I gave the JEMAT exam and had scored 74 percentile. Then I had to go through a group discussion and personal interview round in college. The strange part was that few candidates were not selected for the final rounds but they all got admissions in the end.

Faculty

3

It was average-ish. The marketing prof was quite good and probably the best in the college. Surprisingly he was also the placement officer. Systems one was friendly and humble. The others just added to the numbers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Placement Experience:

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

Remarks:

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

College course structure is good but as faculty are not good implementation is bad. Need company visit and better placement. More focuses on MBA rather than the additional courses. Apart from this, it's a good college.

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.
