Entrance Preview

MHT-CET (now admission is using JEE Mains and Advanced). This college is considered the best after COEP in Pune, in Top 5 or 10 in Maharashtra and I was not getting my preferred branch in COEP, so I chose this college. Also, it is an autonomous college under University of Pune (now SPPU).

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is good and is updated regularly as required. Also, industry inputs are taken. There are various general proficiency and personality development courses which you can select from depending on your interest. They include foreign languages, humanities subjects, photography and other hobby courses. I cannot comment on research orientation.

Placement Experience

Most of the students from computer science and IT get placed (~80-90%). Other streams also have good placements. All big companies situated in and around Pune visit the college. Average salary is around 4-5lpa. Highest around 13-15lpa, lowest 2-3lpa.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive. Around 1-1.2 lakh per year for open category students. For others, fees is as per Maharashtra state rules- OBC, sc, st, nt, ebc and etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Government scolarships for OBCs, SC,ST, EBC scholarship also available. All are government scholarships. None from the college side according to my knowledge.

Alumni/Alumna

Not much interaction between students and alumni. Seniors help a lot and are friendly. No ragging. All events help to increase interaction between seniors and juniors.

Exam Structure

Exams are held throughout the semester. There is a class test, mid semester test, end semester test and a viva voce for each semester. There are lots of assignments too. There are retests held after each semester if you fail by less margin. Also, you are

An Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The Campus placement of VNIT Nagpur is good enough. Students of 7th and 8th semesters are elegible for campus placement. Many companies visited in the campus some prominent names were google, Microsoft, amazon, Goldman Sachs, and many core companies such as bajaj, HPCL,BPCL etc. the number of offers made was 760 in 2024 and placement percentage was around 80 percent.

PICT College Review

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college are pretty good considering the Fact that mostly its the Top 2000-3000 students from Maharashtra that make it to this college. The average Package offered in the college is Around 11LPA while the highest package last year was around 48LPA. The names of the Top companies that have recruited students from my college include Adobe, Amazon and Mastercard. The placement percentage from the past few years has been above 90%. My plans after getting the Degree is either to continue my Cricket Career as a Proffesional or to become a Commercial Pilot.

Except for VIT, Pune, I had applied to colleges like PCCOE, PICT and etc colleges located in Pune itself. My JEE rank was around 77000 or 91.12 percentile and my CET percentile was 96.4, so I couldnt get into PICT. Even if i wanetd to get into PICT, i was getting the EnTC branch, which i didnt want. The admission process included firstly of CAP round followed by SPOT round. The cutoff for various branches depends on the CET and JEE Merit rank/percentile that you have got and on the basis of that youll get the branches in CAP or SPOT round....Read More
