A journey worth sharing

Positive thing will be that you will get a lot of opportunities to excel in different sectors apart from studies. You can interact with a lot of people across the globe and even get a chance to work with good companies during internship period.

The course structure keeps on changing every 2 year. I believe they try to follow the best way possible to make a student industry ready. You get a lot of theoretical along with practical knowledge in order to give you better understanding of concepts.

Placement cell is very efficient in KIIT. You don’t need to worry about a single thing of you are a CSE, it or ECE grad. Even other branches have started performing well now a days and average package ranges from 5-7 lap which is good compared to other universities.

Several events and feast is organised by the institution including MUN which the largest one in North eastern region. You can participate in all the event as well as be the part of the back end team or the organising committee if you have got the skills to perform extra.

Fee is some what equivalent to various other private institutions. You need to pay around 17-20 lacs for 4 years of education. I joined the university in the year 2015 so I had to pay 1,10,000 as tuition fee along with 30,000 as hostel fee plus 15K as mess fee for each semester.

No I believe I don’t know about this cause I took loan from outside so I never went into asking about this. But KIIT has ties up with various banks so you can confirm by calling the university regarding the same.

You get a lot of opportunities in various fields. The data society of KIIT is really commendable along with various fashion and music society. You have a 1000/999 ratios interms of boys and girls. All are given equal opportunity to work in these societies and there no gender discrimination among them.

Hostel are well maintained, you get proper and clean common washrooms. But now KIIT has started providing single accommodations to students with attached washrooms. You can even opt for a flat kind of system in the university from this year. The hostel charges can vary from 25k - 80k per semester depending upon the type of accommodation you choose.

Yes they are very helpful. There is a site where you can connect with your seniors and seek guidance from them related to work and further studies. They will even help you with referral thing in various companies.

In order to get admissions you have to clear an exam called KIITEE, which is basically free for all students. Once you get a rank , you are given a specific date for branch selection. I chose this college as I got computer science on basis of my rank.

Teachers are helpful. Some teachers will become your family and some won’t. But the knowledge and way of teaching they have is commendable. They can give unlimited time to you just make you understand concepts provided you are willing to get the knowledge.
