Remarks

The college good for students who really want to study and work hard. We can't expect much extra curricular and infrastructure is not so good. But teachers are well educated and helpful so take maximum hello from them and at last If you really want to study come to KSIT

Placement Experience

4

Placement is quite descent. Many companies had come to our college. I can't say with huge package. but companies came for placement. At our time there were no internship by the college, currently I have no idea.

College Events

3.5

We had so many events in our college, both cultural and non cultural. We have a cultural fest called ANANYA every year once. It used to be fun. We had so. Many competitions in that fest like rangoli , face painting, sketchimg etc. We had so many games as well. Taking about non cu events we had attended so many workshop in our college regarding current technology.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is quite good compared to other colleges where they have heavy fee. Fee changes every sem. People In my college have got admission through COMEDK or Karnataka CET , CET fee is approximately one third of COMEDK fee

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea about that as I never came under any catagory. People belonging to lower class have got scholarship and it helped them through out their studies. People who wanted could avail education loan.

Campus Life

2.5

Extracurricular were okay. Not much good. There were very few sports activities which was once or twice in an year. Labs were good, we have separate labs for every subjects and lab was spacious enough and had all necessary equipment

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel was not much good, I really never liked the infrastructure, first of all it was far from college due to which we faced so many difficulties. There were no proper playground, rooms weren't big enough, food wasn't much good. No water cooler at each floor. No fridge facility. Overall I didn't like college hostel then. But got to know that recently bethey made nice hostel near college so hoping it will be good

Alumni/Alumna

All the seniors were good, they were helpful and whenever we needed them we could connect to them. They told us about the placement criteria too and showed few ways to achieve a good score. I liked them

Admission

Since I am not from Karnataka, I wrote COMEDK exam, based on my rank, I was called for counseling where I had to give 3 options for colleges I want to take. I opted for KSIT and went the college, there were no interview as such. I just submitted all my documents and paid the fee and got admission there

Faculty

4.5

The faculties were educated enough to teach us properly, they had good knowledge about the subject. They were helpful throughout my engineering and they maintained good relationship with the students .

Placement Experience:

Last year due to recession the placements were low comparatively. From semester 7 onwards we are eligible for campus placements. I do not exactly have the correct statistics, but all the students who tried outside got the jobs easily. Highest package 32 lacks and least goes upto 3 lacks per annum. Last yearpercentage of students placed is 66 and before that it was more than 90 My plan is to get a good job, after the degree and if I cannot get a good job then I will go for higher studies abroad.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements by the start of the 7th semester, and the internships by the 5th semester. Since Mangalore has many MNCs, most of the campus drives start with those companies. We have an average package of 18LPA and it varies according to each branch of engineering. Mostly all the computer science-related branches have 23LPA as their average and the core branches have 14LPA. Almost 95 per cent of the students get placed. The highest package has even crossed 50LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the computer science was booming and also beeing an aspiring student towards that field I had decided to do CSE. The curriculum is was less practical towards the real world applications. They should have include industry professionals to teach they would have better knowledge and experience. Every one we used to have exam like mid term , FA, and end terms. Difficulty depends upon prepration level done by student.

Placement Experience:

They are eligible for placements after 4th semester and the placements are average, a lot of companies have visited I can't say them all ex like Infosys, TCS , and a lot of American and Taiwanese companies, the highest place ment in this campus was around 28lpa and average is around 1L and the percentage of students getting placements are below average like every other college cause this mostly depends on you and not the college its all based on your skill set. My plans are to get a job with a good lpa and I'm confident about that because I have a good skillset which would benefit the companies.

If talking about the placement placements are good companies like Wipro or Amazon and many other companies will visit the campus but the ratio of selection is less. So little bit hard work is required or else around 60 to 70%. Students are placed from my college in every year.
