Remarks

Nothing negative, pretty much everything is well planned for the good of one student, i really liked the routine life there,it not not just college it was a home away from home,if you have studied there for atleast 1 week you can clearly find the difference between rest of the world and the instituition.I really spent memorable 3 years of my life there.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is really good there, folloy the basic rules the course structure is made there, every year all teachers and students attend the open house meeting for syllabus and exam related queries, syllabus is modified by the demand of the students, exam system is also very fluid and continuous to maintain the continuity of assessment and involvement of the students in that particular course

Placement Experience

4

Our college doesn't provide intership but it has link-up with many companies and instituitions who do give internship, placement opportunities were quite well but 95-100% of our college opt for higher studies like doing phd or like that but placement cell in our cell is quite active but we at least( chemistry bsc students) have very much focus on higher studies.

College Events

4.5

Every single national event has been observed in our college, freshers in our college is very special and different from any other colleges called- "bhatribaran".we can't feel the essence of that untill you are a student there, you can see. Our college website- vidyamandira.ac.in where you will find all the events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very much feasible- monthly college fees-?1200 ( varies with subject as in many subjects there is no lab work) and monthly hostel fees-? 2100( including mess charges) which is pretty much affordable and if any student who can not afford these much money.college provides fellowship to them by it's own fund.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't avail any scholarship, but as i told before our college do provide good amount of scholarship to poor students who can't afford the expenses of th college, first students have to submit there names and have to fulfiil the due criterias and then college committee will decide by checking the documents of the individual student whether he will be given scholarship or not

Campus Life

4.5

Yes, we do have many kind of extracurricular activities, like sports( volleyball, football, cricket, table tennis, athletics),we also have many small groups which do help the poor people of the society by raising funds from our students, alumnis, common people.every year two times they go to distant villeges in west bengal do help them with some clothes and small poor child's with school bag, exercise book etc to help those people to have a good smilefull puja( durga puja),evry year cultural competetion, various cultural activities like recitation competition, drama competition is held here, none the less " polyphony" internationl photo festival is organised by our college which is basically a photography exhibition show.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel charge-?600, mess charge-? 1500 ( varies from -?1300-?1800), facilities were good, although android mobile were not allowed but we had internet kiosk for academic purposes and laptops are allowed from 6am to 10 pm then for the rest of the night you hve to submit it to hostel warden in hostel office of individual hostel, and you can take it on next morning.

Alumni/Alumna

We have an very much active and helpful alumni network, which majorly provides the scholarships for the poor students taht i have mentioned before, alumni association also runs an website which you can find on our college website, they also do many social works.

Admission

I opted for the admission test after my class 12 then I attended the written admission test and hopefully qualified it.after that i was shortlisted for interview and the on the due date i successfully attended the interview and was finally selected for admission

Faculty

5

Faculty members in our college are really good, very well qualified, very much friendly and quite helpful.we often used to go to teacher's room for asking questions and had discussed so many thing with our respected professors.it was less college but more family,a home away from home

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Placement Experience:

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
