Remarks

My college has a healthy social life. Everyone are friendly. There isn't any ragging in the college and it's strictly prohibited. The classes are spacious but there is only one block for 7 departments. It has a really big library, nice canteen and a mini canteen. There are places to rest.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is Vast to say the least. It's a bit focused on theory more but that's due to the course demanding such. We have got 6 subjects and 2 practicals on each sem until 7th semester and on 8th semester we have 4 subjects. The exam pattern includes 2 series exams consisting of 2 modules each out of the prescribed 4 modules and an end semester exam.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are okay. Mostly companies like TCS and Infosys come to our campus. Core companies arrive though in a very small no. Most of the students opt for higher studies as well so that might be the reason. No, our college doesn't provide interships, though the different clubs and teams like "meckartans" provide internships and workshops for us. It is really informative.

College Events

3.5

There are a lot of events celebrated in our college. The main 3 events are:- fresher's day(yukthi), Arts day(Sargam chitram taalam) and technocultural fest(CULT A WAY(CAW)). Both arts day and CAW happens for 3 days whereas fresher's is for a single day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It ranges from Rs40,000-1,00,000. If you are a merit student then it will roughly cost you Rs43,000/- whereas if you are not Taking govt seat. Then it will cost you Rs73,000/- . If you are an NRI student then it's gonna be over Rs1,00,000/-

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any loans. But many of my friends have availed. There are 2scholarships available:- one is based on CGPA and the other based on Caste. There are many loans provided as well for backward castes. The scholarship in itself covers the whole college fees.

Campus Life

4

Our college excels in extracurricular activities and sports. There are a lot of skilled students in our college who have got wide recognition for their field. Our mechanical lab is one of the best. All the department has separate labs to work in. It's tidy to work in as well and pretty strict.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are really helpful. They contribute a lot towards the success of our fests and programs conducted in our college. Seniors help us academically as well like they donate their used books to 1st years. They help us built a thick alumni system.

Admission

I had passed KEAM 2017 entrance exam. I got my college and the required course in the first allotment itself. I went to the college after second allotment to pay the fees and get admission. I got into my preferred course itself.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculties have doctorates and have done their M.tech. They have published a lot of papers. Our college gives chance to B.tech passouts in the form of guest lecturers for a period of 1 year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
