Remarks

There are so many opportunities are available in our campus.Students must utilize these opportunities.The will be helpful for their future studies & jobs.The Annual Technical Fest & Cultural Fest gave a number of opportunities for students.

Course Curriculum Overview

We are belongs to Kerala Technological University.They Modify their syllabus after 3 years.One there is two semester having 5 months including exams.Two internal exam & one University exam is conducted in each sem.Also there will be 2/3 Lab exam also according to curriculum.

Placement Experience

A Training & Placement cell have in our college.After the completion of Fourth Semester students can apply for training & Placement Cell.From Fifth Semester students can attend interview from various companies.Also the students from various Colleges apply training and placement cell of our college.

College Events

There are so many events celebrate in our college. Mainly there are two fest; one is technical fest & other one is arts & cultural fest. Technical fest named TAKSHAK is conducted in the odd semester & Arts Fest Named Sanskriti is conducted in even semester. Takshak is the annual tech fest of MACE.The 5 department in our college shows it's fierceness in conducting & participating in all programs. Sanskriti is a grand stage to exhibit the talent's & win a lot of prizes.The annual famous art fest of MACE is what that is. Along these Tedx & MACE MUN is also conducted in the even semester. A College Day & College Union Day also held in MACE. We also Celebrate Onam , Christmas ,Eid in the Campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure are according to the Kerala Technological University.The College can't collect more fee's from students.There will be a exam fees in all semester.Currently it is 1700rs per semester.Other than semester fees about 2500rs is remitted to kerala technical department.Fees concession is available for reserved cast.Also Government & College provide scholarship for poor students for their studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are so many scholarship are given by Central government of India & State Government of Kerala for students.Also College provide scholarship other than this.Various Student Chapter give scholarship for weakly students

Campus Life

College give more opportunity for extracurricular activities.Annual sports meet was conducted in one academic year.Also students have the opportunity to participate zone level & inter zone level university sports & games. Sports & Game Association,Fine Arts Club, Literary & Debating Club BPCL Kochi Refinery ENCON Club,BHOOMITRA SENA Club, Music Club,Dance Club,SAE Club, Developer Student Club of Google,Quiz Club etc. are active for extracurricular activities in our college

Hostel Facilities

I am not opted for College Hostel.Since i am Day Scholar. But in my view the College Hostel have good facilities.There are separate building for each year.In first year hostel there is limited number of seat.All other hostel building there is a capacity to accommodate more number of students.College Hostel are working at cheap rate.Also Hostel Mess are good.Quality food are provided to the students.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

MACE Alumini Association is an active association with nine chapters -seven abroad & two in India.All the former student , faculty & final year students constitute the Alumini.Alumini serves the purpose of fostering the relationship among the past & present students of the instituition, inculcating in them a feeling a responsibility towards building up & maintaining the traditions of instituition.

Admission

Through KEAM. After +2 ,there is an entrance exam was held by Kerala Entrance Commission for professional degree courses. Admission is for all Engineering Colleges through this entrance exam. Entrance exam has two papers, Paper 1(Physics & Chemistry) & Paper 2(Mathematics). After Entrance Exam,Mark of the exam will published.After some days there is an option available in KEAM site to enter our +2 mark.Then Ranklist will published by the entrance commission.After that we have an opportunity to allotted college according to our rank.Entrance commission alloted college according to their criteria.After allotment we can join to that particular college

Faculty

Each class will have a Faculty Advisor who will be a teaching faculty of respective department & will be the incharge of all activities concerning the class.The Faculty Advisor will guide the students for all the academic,co-curricular & extra curricular activities. Also each class is divided into groups of 15 student.Each of these group will have a mentor who will be a faculty member of the respective department.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Remarks:

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

Navigating MACE: A student's journer Through Campus Life, Academics and Oppurtunities.

I chose this college over other colleges primarily for its autonomous status. This allows MACE to have more current and industry relevent curiculum unlike colleges with fixed university syllabus. Admission to MACE was based on keam rank. Although I had a good rank, it wasnt high enough to get my preferred branch in NIT calicut or CET. One of the best government aided college

I chose this college considering the distance from my home. Good facilities and the environment of the college. This college supports extracurricular activities.
