Remarks

We have the worst college management. Its better not to join in this college anymore. The management is deciding to shut this down and to start child and women health care hospital.

Entrance Preview

Kerala Engineering And Medical exam commonly known as KEAM is the eligibility test. You should have scored above 10 in this test to be in the ranklist. 60 students are alloted to each course my score in KEAM was 158/960 and my rank was 22,064. I chose this college because it was near to my grandparents house in calicut. After getting into this college i came to know that there is poor academics and activities. And also students who failed KEAM exam was illegaly alloted with use of money and power. The management here is a fraud and against students.

Now there is 60 students in each course. Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Applied science, Computer science, IT are the courses. Course duration was 4 years. which is divided into 8 semesters this college is under A.P.J Abdul kalam Technological University.

Placement Experience

There were no placements and job opportunities. After 4 years of struggle. what you get was your course certificate and your pass certificate. You can find jobs yourself!

Fee Structure And Facilities

Govt Merit Fees -75000 rs/year. Fee waiver scheme (given to 3 high ranked students including me) -24000/year. Management fees declared by management. Can rise upto 150000/year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently there are no scholarships provided by college. Only general merit or management schemes and NRI seats available.

Campus Life

There were NSS group here. Ranked in top 20 in kerala state from this group you can have little hope in surviving 4 years. You can have nice friendships and better people in this group from this college.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels fees per year is 45000 and in food there were biryani most of the days. Not tasty, currently providing good foods and water. Have generator, Can have better hostel experience.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are good and nice attitude, ragging free. We are friendly our senious have plans of startups. They are the people who you cannot miss because someday they may help you get jobs.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
