Remarks

Improve branding and increase the effort in getting ranking agencies to include the campus. At some points, rankings do come into the selection critieria of aspiring students/faculty.

Entrance Preview

CAT - 99. 79 perentile. I have received final offers from IIM Bangalore, IIM calcutta and IIM Indore. But because of rankings and seniors advise, I opted for IIM Calcutta.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very good for majority of courses - Finance, Economics, HR and few in Marketing. Economics faculty at IIM Calcutta are world class and teach in so detail, they engross all the students.

Internships Opportunities

Internship of 2 months between the 2 years is very good.

Placement Experience

Placements, especially in Finance stream are world class. IIMC has the largest alumni base, and with effort of placement coordinators, this translates to varied opportunities.

College Events

Intaglio - Big, but not at the scale as what we used to have in IIT's.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Great - single occupation, and good food. Campus being far from city and other good food outlets, we had pushed for good food in messes.

Fees and Financial Aid

Institutes MCM scholarship. Tata and AB scholarship are famed ones and are havily competitive.

Campus Life

Best campus life for MBA students - optimal mix of leadership opportunities.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is largest and seniors are most helpful. You wll find them at any premium institute.

Honest Review of BIBS

Likes

The professor is very friendly and helpful. Infrastructure here is very good with wifi and smart boards.
Students which are poor in studies and other , they help u to get it better on it .
They help you to creat team bonding by organize, events like startup challenges and many more.

Dislikes

Placement for digital marketing and BADS here is very poor . Other deperment has good placement . The placement is good only for Marketing then followed by finances.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Likes

7 lakes of the college a beautiful campus.
Infrastructure of campus like lecture room, hostel, library etc.
College life is so joyful there are many fest organised by different society.

Dislikes

Very rush campus life, fast forward life.
Old hostels are not that good as new hostel.
Nearest Railway station and airport are much far away from the college.

Placement Experience:

The college avg. Placement is 32 lakh per annum. The median is 35 lakh per annum. The college publishes the placement report every year. The placement numbers are not inflated. Many MNCs come for the placement. For details, you can check the college placement report.

Remarks:

overall, my journey here was amazing and I am enjoying here. although I got placed but the faculty members are still available to foster me with good understanding. Along with this the facilities like canteen where the food is good and tasty and the international tours organised by the college authority helped me to gain insight into the internationally well structured plan.

Great Choice!

Remarks:

College has facilities like basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, table tennis, full-fledged and well-equipped gymnasium, snooker, cricket, football, and student lounge with TV.

The admission process takes into account your CAT score, past academic scores, gender, academic diversity, and work experience. The application for it is through the CAT portal and if you are deemed eligible for an interview round, you're sent forms by colleges that have shortlisted you. Enrolling at IIM Kolkata was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I enrolled in an MBA at IIM Kolkata due to my strong interest in the subject. My growing interest in business and management prompted me to apply for this programme, which I intended to complete entirely at IIM Kolkata.
