Remarks

Overall I think you College is one of the best college under Calcutta University. But politics in education is very bad. This college students are very active is student's union and politics but I think this not good.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course of graduation is of 3 years. The exam structure is based on the CBCS system. Totally 6 exams in 3 years, each year 2 exams. One much have passing marks to give next exams. One exam helds on June and the next exam held on December.

Placement Experience

0.5

Sorry to say but our college doesn't provide any kind of job opportunities or any internships. This is very bad thing. They should at least provide some internships for graduate students. They only provide degree.

College Events

3.5

Our college celebrates almost all the festivals. Our college celebrates College Orientation Day, they celebrate fresher's all the departments. Then the time comes for the UDAAN COLLEGE FEST in najrul manch.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible in some cases and for some cases expensive. If I talk about fee structure of arts students then it is not that much for an average family. But in the case of Science and Commerce, the fee is very high.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. Our college don't offer any kind of scholarship. But the state government provides some scholarships like- Nabanna Scholarship, SC/ST scholarship and there are some private scholarships. The college should provide scholarships for good students.

Campus Life

4

The college holds some extracurricular activities like cricket, football etc. Departments has their own laboratories for students and teachers. If you talk about the quality of laboratories then I would say it's good.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

No, I have not opted for Hostel. But some friends opted for Hostel. They say that the quality of hostels are very poor. Hostels are not clean and discreet. The quality of food is very bad. It is just bad.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't know that much about alumnj network but senior students helpful for political reason. They are not helping without reason. Some senior students think and shows that they are very powerful and they can do anything in the College but they are wrong.

Admission

I had applied for admission to the college, then I got chance for admission in 2nd merit list. Then I went to the college, which is situated in Kolkata, the departmental teachers checked my all documents. Then I gave an admission fee worth 8000 rs.

Faculty

2.5

They don't know about the facility of all the departments. But if you talk about our Physics department, then is very good quality. All the professors are extremely educated and they are good teachers too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
