Remarks

There's not one thing bad about Manipal. The only problem is that it's quite underrated. People who have spread false rumours about this institute need to stop. You won't find a single institute other than MIT wherein on/off -campus ragging is a punishable offence.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is quite student friendly it teaches you a lot of new stuff and at the same time isn't rigorous and doesn't burden you. There are bi-weekly assignments of 5 marks conducted throughout the semester. There are 4 sets of assignments and 2 sets of sessionals(15 marks for each subject). At the end of the semester , the end semester exams are of 50 marks.

Placement Experience

4.5

The job opportunities at MIT increase every year.Multiple MNCs are vying for the MITians. It offers multiple internships and even credit transfer programs. Many students have interned at the IITs , IISC etc.

College Events

5

Techtatva- One of the largest technical fests in South circuit. Participants from many reputed institutes drop by to give the plethora of competitions a shot. The best part is that every thing right from the food to the events are organised by the students only. Revels- One of the largest cultural fests in the country. The atmosphere here is at its liveliest best. Students and participants yearn for this event and it never fails to impress Every single festival is celebrated here from Eid to Christmas to Lohri.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure falls on the expensive side. But every penny one spends here is worth it. You learn a lot every single minute , venture into the things you once feared and leave with a heavy heart and a full brain.

Fees and Financial Aid

Konkani students are offered a 10% scholarship on the fee they paid. Meritorious students who secure a rank between 1-100 in the entrance test are eligible for a 100% scholarship for 1 year. People with annual income less than a requisite also are eligible for many scholarships.

Campus Life

5

MIT has a dedicated sports club which has participated and won in many regional , national and international levels. Labs are wonderful wherein the atmosphere is quite conducive to learn and practice. Manipal has around 100+ technical and non technical clubs which have won in many tech/cultural events like Mood Indigo , Gravitas , Waves etc.Every student project here has represented India in international competitions like IGCV , Spaceport Cup , Asian and International Rover Challenge and many more and have won laurels for the institute and the country.

Hostel Facilities

5

MIT Hostels are said to be the best in the country. Spacious rooms , 24x7 night canteens within the block , accessible laundry , on-call ambulance and no load shedding.these words speak volumes. You even have a choice of ACs , single and double occupancy rooms etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Satya Nadella and Rajeev Suri and other distinguished alumni visit the campus every year to meet the young minds and give them a few pep talks. There are multiple online groups wherein the alumni through their network help worthy students by guidance and advice.

Admission

I wrote the entrance test twice so as to improve my score in the second one.The results are announced on the spot. After one month or so students who wish to pursue their graduation in MIT are called for counseling depending on their ranks(which are released a week or so after the entrance exam) and depending on a particular course and the no. of seats available , we can select the course of our choice. If eligible , you will be called for the orientation program where all the details regarding the institution are given.

Faculty

5

Wonderful faculty , ready to teach a single concept 1000 times until a student is able to introspect and grasp the concept. Willing and helpful are the words which can describe them. Professors are quite friendly and are ready to help you round the clock.
