Remarks

College is not at all bad and is ranked 6th amongst NITs and 42nd Overall Rank according to MHRD. I recommend others to take admission in this college of national importance to experience what it's like to study in a top institute like this.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course Curriculum : Course curriculum has been updated after the long time for batch 2017 onwards and that's why this is the right time to take admission in Institute of national importance with updated syllabus. Exam Structure : Two mid terms of 15 marks each and End semester examination of 50 marks. 10 marks for attendance of which 75? is compulsory and remaining 10 marks are teacher's assessment.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements and job opportunities are extraordinary in this college, especially for CS/IT branches that are enjoying almost 100% placements in recent years. Yes, college provides internship opportunities in 5th and 6th semesters and companies visit the campus to hire 3rd year students as interns from the college.

College Events

3.5

Techspardha - This is the technical fest of NIT KURUKSHETRA which is organized annually. Confluence - This is North India's largest fest which is organized here every year. There are fests too such as Utkarsh, Citius etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible as compared to other private colleges of India. ?70,000 approx. Tuition fee for 1 semester. ?3000 for hostel rent and you will receive mess bill of around ?4000 every month. This is the total fee structure for the B.Tech course for 1 semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility that I know of is that SBI gives education loan of upto ?30lac for students studying in prestigious institutes such as NIT KURUKSHETRA. There are scholarships too but they are for foreign students.

Campus Life

3.5

This college has many clubs and socities but only very few of them does what they are supposed to do and most of them are useless. College has sports team of almost every sport and Inter NIT is held every year at some NIT. INTER NIT 2019 held at NIT KURUKSHETRA.

Alumni/Alumna

College has a vast network of alumni but their interaction with current students is close to null. College organizes various events for alumni but currently studying students are not invited in those events. But some alumni are invited especially for motivating and inspiring students.

Admission

College selects students on the basis of rank obtained in JEE (MAINS). This is the compulsory entrance test one has to take in order to take admission in National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra.

Faculty

2

There are many good professors in college who has great in depth knowledge of their subjects but there are contract based teachers too who don't deserve to be here. Mostly good professors are of Mech/Civil branch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I am very fond of computers and mobile devices since my childhood and want to learn the work behind these smart gadgets. Overall faculty students ratio is good it is approximately 1:40. Most of the teachers are M.tech qualified from prestigious universities like Jamia and Aligarh and some PhD holders as well. As far as teaching is concerned, the overall methodology is good and don't expect some game changing scenarios. Most of the time, term exams happen in timely manner. Due to covid there was some sort of irregularities but now it is all good right now. Passing exams is not that much challenging if you have basic understanding of concepts and ability to apply them. Most of questions comes from previous year papers.
