Remarks
The overall college experience for me here is good. The environment is good. People are easy to talk with. Teachers are open-minded to anything. No narcotics, alcohol, tobacco is allowed on the college premises. It's on top of a little hill, so the breeze is good, trees are sufficient. Maintainance and cleaning is good. The college is a well grommed college.
Course Curriculum Overview
AICTE designs the course curriculum for the college. In my personal opinion, the syllabus for first year is a bit swaying from what branch we get(all branchs have same curriculum for first year). I don't think that a student of CS will ever need quantum physics in his career (and they teach quantum physics). Other than this, the curriculum is good. Exam structure includes 2 unit tests and 1 term test per term. Marks are also given for teacher's assignments, attendence, etc.
Placement Experience
The average package of a CS engineer here is somewhere between 4-5 lakhs. Which is a good number as compared to most colleges. College provides the last semester for internships. Haven't reached there so I can't tell you my experience.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Comparing to what other private colleges are asking for, I think that it is feasible. Hostel is a little expensive for what they are offering, mess quality is not that good worth its money. A trust owns the college so, the fees is appropriate.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, but it is not from the colleges side, it is from Maharashtra government. A site name mahadbt provides scholarships considering various factors. I availed for the one which provided 60000 scholarship to people who have annual income less than 700000.
Campus Life
Our college has a really active sport atmosphere. Sports, include volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton, tennis, swimming, table tennis etc. College has a gym for workouts. For extra curricular activities we have clubs(mentioned earlier).
Hostel Facilities
As said earlier, hostels are a little expensive to what they are offering, rooms are a little small, but we manage. Mess quality could have been better, the environment is good, maintenance is good, free internet is provided through Lans and the speeds are quite high.
Alumni/Alumna
I haven't ever contacted an alumnus of our college, but our college says that, yes, we have a very good alumini network. And we can ask the college of need be. Teachers often talk about the alumini who keep regularly visiting, and alumini who were part of a club, make club visits often.
Admission
Admissions in RCOEM (Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and management) is through merit list decided by MHCET exam, conducted for admission in engineering and medical colleges of Maharashtra. Through MHCET, merit list is prepared and admissions are given. Another way for admission is through Management quota, in this procedure, rounds are conducted within the college, according to MHCET or Jee rankings. These are for the students who either want a better branch, or for people who weren't able to apply for MHCET rounds(but have appeared for MHCET). Once admissions is confirmed, we have to pay the fees, give all the necessary documents (informed by the college) and you are admitted.
Faculty
This answer is based on personal opinion as people like some teachers and don't like the others. Overall, most of the teachers don't disappoint me as they have sufficient knowledge. The faculty, is very cooperative.
