Remarks

Positive aspect being the location of college which is a very prime location and commutable from anywhere. The college area is well surrounded by many food outlets and hangout areas. The negative aspect being the infrastructure of the college which could be upgraded.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is from Mumbai University. Same old 2 semesters per year. 2 internal exams before semesters. The marking system was according to CGPA. The course covered all relevant civil engineering topics and subjects.

Placement Experience

0.5

There was no placement as such for civil engineering field. Although we had quite a few real time field trips and industrial visit which gave us a good real time work experience. There was no stipend as such.

College Events

4

Cultural and technical events every year which covered every aspect. Also there was a sport event which covered all major sporting event in the vicinity grounds. The fest lasted for a week in total and was worth.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was feasible. Maybe the lowest around Mumbai City. Since it was a minority college, the students having minority quota got more concessions and could avail scholarship. The examination fees were as per described in the university norms.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship were offered to the minority quota students. There was a simple procedure to fill up the minority form for the same, the money would be credited directly to their account in 6 months time.

Campus Life

3.5

Labs were exception. There were seperate labs for all related subjects we had in civil engineering. There is a library having a wife variety of books for all faculties. There were sport events held every year during the festival time. Also there was a gymnasium.

Hostel Facilities

4

There was hostel facility in the vicinity but wasn't big enough. There could be a maximum of 50 students accomodated in the hostel. The hostel fees and charges were nominal as much as I have heard. There was no mess though.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni students are contacted frequently for events and feedbacks. There as online surveys held by college for reviews. Also the placement cell keeps a good rapo with the alumni for future help with getting companies to college.

Admission

Entrance exam merit list. Got in the third round in the merit list. The cut off of the college is relatively not that high as compared to easy, so a decent score is enough to get though. Other quotas as also available.

Faculty

4

Faculty was well trained and friendly. There was personal attention to each student and the assignments were relevant and helped well during the final examinations. The faculty made sure to keep a good alumini contact.

Actually i have decided to only go for computer science but as my entrance exam score was not that much good. So i decided to go for ai&ds branch as it have much scope than cse. Ai&ds syllabus is very much similar to cse branch so not that much difference. Some practical practice need to be improved in place of learning theory.
